US has the most Covid 19 cases in the world

The reason why the US has the most Covid 19 cases in the world is that the Americans like freedom and they hate lockdown and restriction. Even former US president Donald Trump did not believe in wearing a face mask.

Covid 19 cases in Malaysia

Malaysia population is 33.45 million. That means among every 12 Malaysians, 1 person has contacted the coronavirus. We have done much better than the US. Malaysia has a total of 2.75 million Covid 19 cases and 31,428 deaths. The graph below shows that on 29 Dec we have 3,683 new cases and the 7-day average is 3,188. About 4 months ago we had more than 25,000 daily new cases and currently, the number of daily new case is dropping very rapidly.

I must say despite our government’s bad management in many other matters, it has prevented the spread of the Covid 19 virus quite efficiently. The graph above shows that about 80% of our population are fully vaccinated with 2 doses.

Covid 19 cases in China 

China has a total of 101,890 Covid 19 cases and 4,636 deaths. As shown on the graph below, on 25 Aug China has 26 new cases and the 7-day average is 27 cases.

China has a population of 1,402 million people. That means among 13,750 Chinese, 1 person contacted Covid 19 virus.

How does China prevent the spread of Covid 19 virus?

The Chinese consider human lives is more important than temporary pleasures. They are very obedient. They follow rules and regulations. 

Today Thursday the north western Chinese city of Xian launched lockdown measures as it accounted for 63 of the country’s 71 new local symptomatic Covid-19 cases, detected in citywide testing.

Home to the famed Terracotta Warriors and nearly 100 universities and colleges, the capital of Shaanxi province is battling a twin onslaught of the coronavirus and deadly seasonal haemorrhagic fever. The city of 13 million residents had on Wednesday reported 52 symptomatic cases from the same round of testing.

On Wednesday night, the Xian government announced that starting on Thursday, people could leave the city only where absolutely necessary, for which permission needed to be granted.

All residential compounds, villages and companies were placed in lockdown. Each family was permitted to send one member to buy supplies every two days, but no other trips were allowed except emergencies such as admission to hospital.
