Genting Malaysia Bhd is expected to see a much better financial year 2023 (FY23) backed by border reopening and recovery in tourism activities. Hong Leong Investment Bank Bhd (HLIB) said Genting Malaysia had reported a weaker-than-expected set of results in the third quarter (Q3) 2022. (NST)

Public Bank Bhd’s founder and chairman emeritus, director and adviser Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow passed away yesterday at the age of 92. Teh was born in Singapore on March 14, 1930 and has been married to Puan Seri Tay Sock Noy since 1956, a biography note on Public Bank’s website said. (TheStar)

DS Sigma Holdings Bhd targets to raise RM50.15 million for its initial public offering (IPO), which will be used to expand capabilities and capture more market share. Managing director Lucille Teoh Soo Lien said that following the listing, the company will have more opportunities to grow its market share, which stands at 2.5 per cent of the Malaysian market.

NationGate Holdings Bhd will use a large part of the proceeds raised from its listing to repay bank borrowings and as working capital. The ACE Market bound electronic manufacturing services (EMS) provider aims to raise RM165.5mil from its initial public offering (IPO) of 435.5 million new shares at an issue price of 38 sen per share.
