Why lockdowns are the wrong policy - Swedish expert Prof. Johan Giesecke

The whole world is Wuhan now but there is only one China....and the rest of the world, especially Malaysia will not have the kind of fast solution as China.

The current lock down in Malaysia is very cruel to the poor in Malaysia as we do not have the  good social welfare infrastructure that can take care of people when they need help/ assistance. In the case of China, they have a wide network of community workers. We do not.

I will take the Swedish model and allow most businesses to operate with common sense. 

Swedish model...............

- focus efforts on the risk groups....older ones, care homes, immigrant labor, contact tracing and testing....

- focus efforts on hospitals

- no mass gatherings of > 50

I will also make wearing of masks compulsory. Econonomic activities can largely continue with some adjustments.

I think a lot of what the police are doing are unnecessary and makes  no difference except make life difficult for everyone.

What everyone is doing is political in nature not fact based.
