Bank Of China Ltd (3988.HK)

With 64% stake, sovereign wealth funds possess the maximum shares in the company, Bank of China Ltd (BOC) stands to benefit the most if the stock rises. Meanwhile, individual investors make up 24% of the company’s shareholders.

Most consider insider ownership a positive because it can indicate the board is well aligned with other shareholders. However, on some occasions too much power is concentrated within this group. The general public, who are usually individual investors, hold a 24% stake in Bank of China. While this size of ownership may not be enough to sway a policy decision in their favour, they can still make a collective impact on company policies.

ENN Energy Holdings Ltd (2688.Hk)

ENN Natural Gas last month signed a more than 20-year deal with Cheniere Energy that will supply it with 1.8bn tons of LNG a year from mid-2026 onwards. The purchase price will be indexed to the Henry Hub price, a widely recognized benchmark for natural gas prices in the United States.

Cheniere Marketing is set to begin deliveries in mid-2026 and increase its supply to 0.9m tons per annum (mtpa) in 2027. Delivery of the remaining 0.9 mtpa is subject to the completion of the first train of the Sabine Pass Liquefaction Expansion Project and will begin upon the commencement of commercial operations of Train Seven.

Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd (27.HK)

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) said it plans to hold a soft opening of its newest hotel brand – Raffles at Galaxy Macau – on 16 August with a grand opening planned for late 2023. The impending launch of Raffles at Galaxy Macau will see the worldfamous Raffles brand enter the Macau market for the first time, featuring around 450 luxury suites plus a Mediterranean-inspired garden, infinity edge pool, luxury spa and fine dining restaurant, among others.

According to information from GEG, Galaxy Macau will unveil an exclusive “first look” at several dining venues this month, followed by a soft opening to the public on 16 August, when further details on upcoming features are to be revealed.
