KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has granted a final one-month extension to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's two elder sons to declare their assets.
MACC Chief Commissioner Azam Baki said that Mirzan Mahathir and his brother, Mokhzani, now have until mid-September to submit their asset declarations.
"This will be the final extension. If they fail to comply, the MACC will take legal action," Azam said at a press conference after officiating the Anti-Corruption Initiative Through the Empowerment of Accounting and Auditing Practices programme at a hotel here today.
