KUANTAN: The state government has implemented four strategies to boost revenue collection and reduce leakage through the empowerment of digitisation and information technology.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the measures aimed to enhance public service and increase revenue, ensuring that the state government had a clear path and long-term plan for the state's prosperity

"The strategies include adopting parcel rent collection for strata ownership through the Pahang e-Strata system which was developed by the state government for RM1.795 million since January this year. We have managed to collect RM833,270 through 1.6 million registrations.

"The existing Pahang State Land Administration System has been upgraded to a Web-Based Land Administration System which includes the land revenue system, secure land management system, land transfer/mortgage, and land lease application system with a cost of RM4.95 million.

He said this during the question and answer session at the Pahang state assembly sitting at Wisma Sri Pahang here today.

Wan Rosdy was responding to a question from Sharim Md Zain (Barisan Nasional-Chini) who asked about the strategies adopted by the state government to increase revenue collection and reduce leakages through digital empowerment.

Meanwhile, Wan Rosdy said the state government had implemented the e-Doket system to replace physical docket forms for collecting, moving and transporting rock materials under the combined temporary occupation licence and permit as stipulated in Sections 69 and 71 of the National Land Code.

He said satellite image systems and remote sensing have been used through the e-Unified system, in collaboration with the Malaysian Space Agency to enhance enforcement efficiency since 2019.
