"How do you save RM50,000? - I shared with a friend on how to do it. I got a term life for RM280 p.a covering RM100k until 70 years old. I cancelled my wholelife insurance of RM2,800 p.a. for the same coverage up to 100 years old. Save RM2500 p.a x 20 years = RM50,000. (PM0122037325)

.....IS THIS ARTICLE FAKE OR FACT?? ANYONE CAN CONFIRM?

Let us Compared Malaysia stock markets vs Singapore

Which one will do better 10 years from now?

Lets take a look at both the government policies?

  1. Mix politics with religion? Good or Bad?
  2. Prime minister is also finance minister, Good or Bad?
  3. Instill race hatred, Good or Bad?
  4. Education, top in the world or worst in the world?
  5. Government practice racial favouritism (for more than 50 years)
  6. Corrupted government vs efficient government?
  7. Corrupted government, chances are high to breed corrupted businessman, good or bad for economy?
  8. Practice meritrocacy, good or bad?
  9. Lack of good employment opportunity, for GLCs, susbantially of the exchange is GLCs.
  10. Broad daylight corruption, good or bad?
  11. Security and safety

I believe the list can be longer than that.

Having answer the above questions, if you have RM1.0 million spare cash, where would you invest?  Don't get me wrong, I am just comparing so we can have a rational decision for investment.  What is your professional view?

Singapore is better for personal safety, racial harmony, rule of meritocrazy and ease of doing business.

For investment in stocks just so so only. Indonesia is more corrupt than Malaysia. Yet historical returns have shown that Investing in Indonesian stocks have bettered Singapore Sgx.

Though Malaysia has its entrenched problems there are value stocks selling at bargain prices. It takes much work, however, to unearth these gems. And it is extremely rewarding to invest in KLSE as there are very few investors on the horizon. So there is great opportunity for Value Investors in Malaysia for many more good years.

Note. Should read as, "THERE ARE VERY FEW GENUINE VALUE INVESTORS IN KLSE".

Value Investors take a 3 to 5 year holding period. As opposed to day traders, contra players and short term punters who practise hit and run in Klse.

Only less than 1% true investors and 99% are speculators.
