The FBM KLCI (+1.2%) started off the week on a buoyant manner as the key index play catch-up with gains across global markets as investors digested a slew of measures announced under the Short Term Economic Recovery Plan. Market breadth turned positive as gainers outnumbered the losers on a ratio of 779-to-328 stocks. With all 13 major sectors in the green, the consumer products and services sector (+2.5%) emerged as the biggest winner on gains from Fraser & Neave (+68.0 sen), Genting (+38.0 sen) and Euro Holdings (+24.0 sen).
