The FBM KLCI (+0.48%) recouped the losses in the morning session as three-quarters of the heavyweights ended in the positive territory. Market breadth turned positive as the advancers outpaced the decliners by 477-to-351 stocks. The technology sector (+2.50%) rallied despite the overnight tumble in Nasdaq, fuelled by gains in UWC (+25.0 sen), FRONTKN (+17.0 sen), and INARI (+7.0 sen). Meanwhile, the utilities sector (+1.04%) gained momentum led by PETGAS (+30.0 sen) and YTLPOWR (+3.0 sen).
