The FBM KLCI (-0.37%) fell below the key 1,500 level as investors braced for a more hawkish tone from the FOMC meeting moving forward. Market breadth remained negative as the decliners led the advancers by 464-to-323 stocks. The broader market traded in a negative-biased tone, while the technology sector (-1.17%) took a break as MYEG (-2.5 sen), D&O (-9.0 sen), and UWC (-10.0 sen) succumbed to profit-taking activities following recent gains.
