CIMB: Gov build more People's Housing Programme houses nationwide

The government is prepared to provide funds to build more People's Housing Programme houses nationwide, under the current Tenth Malaysia Plan. Housing and Local Government Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Lajim Ukin said, under the plan, RM2.5bn was made available. Under the first and second 'rolling plan' of the Tenth Malaysia Plan, the ministry has provided RM991.4m for continued work and new projects. Lajim said more funds would be made available for subsequent rolling plans, adding that it was the target of the government to build 84,131 units nationwide. (Bernama)
