Hi Guys,

I have An Investment Approach I which I would like to all.

Proverbs 1 King James Version (KJV) 1611 AD

The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;

To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;

To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;

To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.

11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:

12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:

13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:

14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:

15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:

16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.

17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.

18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.

19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.

20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:

21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,

22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:

30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

I want to highlight 4 Versus from this chapter

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

Verse 5 tells us a wise person will open his ear to hear & he will increase in learning. Learning is a life long process as we progress in life. A man who is knowledgeable will attain the highest level of the best wise counsels in life.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Verse 7 tells us the beginning of true knowledge begins with the fear of God. That there is a God which commands reverence. While fools do not bother with wisdom or instruction

19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.

Those who gamble greedily without careful investing will always end in trouble. Greed takes away the life of the owners eventually. Many commit suicide after they had lost all in a casino. So avoid games of chance in life. Learn to invest patiently with margin of safety in mind.

23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

Finally, God wants all men and women to repent of sins and turn back to God at His reproof.

There is a promise:

"I will pour out My Spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you"

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT VERSE FOR PROVERBS CHAPTER 1

23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

When a sinner turns to God and receive Jesus Christ as LORD and Saviour, or a wayward Christian turns back from his backsliding GOD WILL POUR OUT HIS SPIRIT ON HIM/HER

And this is a New Modern Translation (NIV)

1 The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
2 for gaining wisdom and instruction; for understanding words of insight;
3 for receiving instruction in prudent behavior, doing what is right and just and fair;
4 for giving prudence to those who are simple,knowledge and discretion to the young—
5 let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance—
6 for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Prologue: Exhortations to Embrace Wisdom

Warning Against the Invitation of Sinful Men

8 Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
9 They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.
10 My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them.
11 If they say, “Come along with us; let’s lie in wait for innocent blood, let’s ambush some harmless soul;
12 let’s swallow them alive, like the grave, and whole, like those who go down to the pit;
13 we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder;
14 cast lots with us; we will all share the loot”—
15 my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths;
16 for their feet rush into evil, they are swift to shed blood.
17 How useless to spread a net where every bird can see it!
18 These men lie in wait for their own blood; they ambush only themselves!
19 Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the life of those who get it.

Wisdom’s Rebuke

20 Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square;
21 on top of the wallshe cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech:
22 “How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?
23 Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings.
24 But since you refuse to listen when I call and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand,
25 since you disregard all my advice and do not accept my rebuke,
26 I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you; I will mock when calamity overtakes you—
27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you.
28 “Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me,
29 since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD.
30 Since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke,
31 they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.
32 For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them;
33 but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.”

The Value of Proverbs
1 1 Kgs 4.32The proverbs of Solomon, son of David and king of Israel.
2Here are proverbs that will help you to recognize wisdom and good advice, and understand sayings with deep meaning. 3They can teach you how to live intelligently and how to be honest, just, and fair. 4They can make an inexperienced person clever and teach young people how to be resourceful. 5These proverbs can even add to the knowledge of the wise and give guidance to the educated, 6so that they can understand the hidden meanings of proverbs and the problems that the wise raise.
Advice to Young People
7 Job 28.28; Ps 111.10; Prov 9.10To have knowledge, you must first have reverence for the LORD.1.7 To… LORDor The most important part of knowledge is having reverence for the LORD. Stupid people have no respect for wisdom and refuse to learn.
8Pay attention to what your father and mother tell you, my child. 9Their teaching will improve your character as a handsome turban or a necklace improves your appearance.
10When sinners tempt you, my child, don't give in. 11Suppose they say, “Come on; let's find someone to kill! Let's attack some innocent people for the fun of it! 12They may be alive and well when we find them, but they'll be dead when we're through with them! 13We'll find all kinds of riches and fill our houses with loot! 14Come and join us, and we'll all share what we steal.”
15Don't go with people like that, my child. Stay away from them. 16They can't wait to do something bad. They're always ready to kill. 17It does no good to spread a net when the bird you want to catch is watching, 18but people like that are setting a trap for themselves, a trap in which they will die. 19Robbery always claims the life of the robber — this is what happens to1.19 One ancient translation what happens to; Hebrew the path of. anyone who lives by violence.
Wisdom Calls
20 Prov 8.1–3Listen! Wisdom is calling out in the streets and market places, 21calling loudly at the city gates and wherever people come together:
22“Foolish people! How long do you want to be foolish? How long will you enjoy pouring scorn on knowledge? Will you never learn? 23Listen when I reprimand you; I will give you good advice and share my knowledge with you. 24I have been calling you, inviting you to come, but you would not listen. You paid no attention to me. 25You have ignored all my advice and have not been willing to let me correct you. 26So when you get into trouble, I will laugh at you. I will mock you when terror strikes — 27when it comes on you like a storm, bringing fierce winds of trouble, and you are in pain and misery. 28Then you will call for wisdom, but I will not answer. You may look for me everywhere, but you will not find me. 29You have never had any use for knowledge and have always refused to obey the LORD30You have never wanted my advice or paid any attention when I corrected you. 31So then, you will get what you deserve, and your own actions will make you sick. 32Inexperienced people die because they reject wisdom. Stupid people are destroyed by their own lack of concern. 33But whoever listens to me will have security. He will be safe, with no reason to be afraid.”

Coming up Next is ECCLESIASTES CHAPTER ONE

Both the Book of Proverbs and the Book of Ecclesiastes were written by King Solomon

IT WAS RAMPANT GREED THAT BLINDED SO MANY WHO GOT CAUGHT IN IFCA

in this evil age, the holy book gives comfort and wisdom and light only to its seeker. To use it like this in order to send a personal message is not right. You are using Gods word in vain. The wisdom contained inside are not easy to be understood and explain. It needs to be told by a holy person full of love and with no ulterior motive other than to enlighten the soul ofanother and brings comfort to another. Its not a book of judgement. God the author is the true judge.

No source should be treated as dogma, canon or sacred. To believe so is to believe in binary thinking, if it's not A, then it's B. Whether there is truth in C, D or E, binary thinking only choose to accept A or B.

Please please stop your preaching and come to your real sense. First stop your conning job. Ask forgiveness from the Almighty whose Son is Risen today. And start your work tomorrow onwards without conning people
Do you know how many innocent people/ soul you have cheated and how many is suffering? Is it the very reason that Christ came to this world? He has saved but you are Destroying. Please sit for a few minutes and Reflect what you have done? The Lord is faithful to forgive you but try to understand one, “The more you know Him the more you will be asked on judgement day. I have heard that people had vision about hell where a lot of pastors and evangelist are groaning and moaning in hell. DO YOU WANT TO BE one?
Think Calvin carefully.

the fact that Calvin Tan's many stocks recommendations does not pan out as uplifting as one would be lead to believe (despite his repeated enthusiastic touting as great values stocks that will rocket soon), may make one to feel letdown, deceived, mislead, lied to, and conned .
This is a valid reaction but to feel justified solely due to this impression, to call a person a liar and conman ,may make an accuser equally guilty of the same, if no solid proofs is put forward to justify such serious allegations.
The accuser may in fact be guilty of libel in a court of law.

The most one can say is the Calvin Tan's stock tips cannot be believed / trusted because most of the time, the stock does not move up in the reasonable timeframe that is expected, and worse it moved down instead.

That however, is not enough to warrant calling someone a liar and conman.
You need to furnish some reasonable proof of the intent to lie and con and purported gain that the accused will stand to benefit.
This is called responsible and reasonable thinking.
