Hi Guys,

I have An Investment Approach I which I would like to all.

Malaysia Exports YoY

Exports from Malaysia grew by 16.8 percent from a year earlier to MYR 102.3 billion in February 2022, easing from an upwardly revised 23.9 percent growth in the previous month, and below market consensus of a 23.8 percent rise. Still, it was the 18th consecutive month of increase in exports and the seventh straight month of double-digit growth, amid a further recovery in global demand and surging commodity prices. Further, the latest reading pointed to the sixth consecutive months of exports value exceeded MYR 100 billion. Sales increased for all sectors: manufactured goods (14.2%), mining (30.7%), and agricultural goods (38.7%). The expansion in the manufacturing sector was mainly boosted by higher exports of electrical and electronic products (25.8%), followed by petroleum products (9.6%), and chemicals (28.2%), and manufacture of metal (31.8%). Among major trading partners, exports expanded to the US (4.1%), China (19.2%), Singapore (14.4%) and the ASEAN countries (20.1%). source: Department of Statistics, Malaysia

Calvin, 38.7% is based on RM? It’s misleading as it doesn’t adjust for CPO price increase. I think the export volume decrease in line with drop in production, which is the main driver of CPO price increase in the first place.

I just reposted the figures from source: Department of statistics, Malaysia

This figure of 38.7% shows an increase and not decrease.

And in comparison to manufactured products which clearly mean that Nature overtakes man's effort

Agriculture is dependent on God's natural provision of sunshine and rain

Manufactured goods depend on human effort

So Agriculture is doing twice better than manufacturing

As such we move to palm oil investing and ride the upward trend

And we are in ONCE A CENTURY PALM OIL SUPERBULL RUN NOW

Calvin, pls check if the 38.7% increase based on value or volume? If value, assuming all agriculture are CPO, then export volume had actually drop coz the increase of unit price per MT increased more than 38% year on year.
