Mr. Tang graduated from the University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) Degree in 1984. Upon graduation, he joined KPMG in Kuala Lumpur as a Tax Assistant and was promoted to Tax Manager in 1988. In 1992, he was seconded to KPMG in Johor Bahru to head the tax practice of the Johor Bahru Branch and was later promoted to Tax Director in 1995. In 2000, Mr. Tang started his own accounting firm under the name S C Tang Associates. Mr. Tang is a Chartered Accountant registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants,an associate member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a fellow member of the Malaysian Institute of Taxation.
