Puan Haida Shenny commenced her career with PETRONAS in March 1998. She has held various positions in PETRONAS serving as legal counsel in various businesses - PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd, Gas Business and Liquefied Natural Gas ("LNG") from 1998 until 2007.She was also the Company Secretary for the Malaysia LNG Group of Companies. She then moved to a commercial position in Technology Commercialisation and Investments in 2007 and held the position of Chief Executive Officer, PETRONAS Technology Ventures Sdn Bhd at the time of her resignation from PETRONAS in November 2012.
She joined SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad (now known as Sapura Energy Berhad) ("Sapura Energy") in November 2012 and held the position of Vice President, Strategy and New Ventures, undertaking a role in the team for the building up of the Exploration & Production business for Sapura Energy and the acquisition of the Newfield Malaysia.
In 2015, Puan Haida Shenny took the role of Chief Executive Officer of Matrix Reservoir Sdn Bhd, owner and operator of Tok Bali Supply Base, to develop the third supply base in Malaysia. During the course of her career, she also served as a team member in the Malaysia's Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) in 2010 for the Oil and Gas sector under the National Key Economic Areas.
Currently, she serves as the Project Director for Bintulu Supply Base Sdn Bhd.
