Make hay while the sun still shines-eh, Alpha Trader? You make IFCA sound like a investible stock, and it may just turn out...
For now, i just want to say thank you!!

Want to 'create' fear into the minds of new investors/speculators/traders? Maybe it's better if we should instead instill into 'em, never to act on decisions based on emotions, especially on such powerful but negative emotions like fear and greed. Greed will destroy, but fear will paralyse you in marts!

Just stay invested in quality and/or fundamentally strong stocks. It's futile and foolish to try timing/outsmarting mart ups and downs. Invest for the long term using the methods and strategies of successful investors like Bogle, Buffett and Mobius. Imagine if one had stayed fully invested in Maybank, P Bank, MISC, Nestle, F&N, D Lady and yes must include a lemon, MAS - in one's portfolio since 1992. Maybe that's why those 3 are billionaires, not me!!

Anyone who can make a living by trading stocks for 5 straight years, is certainly a rarity. Usually, most veteran mart full timers are investors, not speculators or traders.I salute all those who could make a living after 10 years of investing/speculating/trading markets.

Yes, the less you trade - the better! Just keep invested in quality and fundamentally sound stocks. Ignore all the wild up and down swings, nobody can consistently be able to correctly time/outsmart mart.
Make money for yourself and your loved ones, not for brokers and sales reps!

The more one trade/speculate/invest in marts, the less he or she can depend on luck to be on their side. Maybe that's the reason why only mostly investors like Buffett, Bogle, Mobius...could continously & consistently for over 40 years, create ever increasing money & wealth for themselves and their investors.
How many traders and speculators could even increase their winnings from marts, even after 10 years? Maybe, thats why there are so few multi million$$$aire traders/speculators...because after 10 yearss...have to depend on methods/skills instead of probabilities/luck!

What/when to buy, sell, hold or just stay away altogether from marts - all up to you and your ownself alone to decide and be responsible for. Thus, whatever profits/losses from marts, ultimately - is all due to myself alone and nobody else!

Well, this is a problem for the speculators to figure, as investors invest...and not in the business of timing/outsmarting or forecasting mart's weekly or monthly trajectories.
Investors stay invested through all the ups & downs!

If even Buffett can't buy at mart bottom, how many of us can? Many successful investors say they don't buy at the bottom and sell at the top, and this is one of their secrets to their fabulous wealth. I believe that investors like Buffett, Bogle, Mobius...are forever optimistic on the long term uptrend of stock marts - their mantra,""The world belong to the optimist!!"".

Investing is not only less riskier, but also more likely to be more rewarding over the long term. Investing isn't for the impatient though. Speculating, is the riskiest way to approach mart without a doubt.

My knowledge of warrants is even shallower, maybe that's because i'm a investor, not a speculator nor a trader. Small investors should avoid buying any type of warrants anyway.

Market timing are for the speculators. Investors rides through all the ups & downs. If by using charts and all those TA's works, then there would be at least a $ trillionaire by now!
Billionaires investors like Buffett & Bogle had claimed that nobody in this world could possibly consistently time/outsmart marts. By the way, how many multi billionaire speculators are out there? Even much of Soros wealth , are made through his investments.

Long term investors like Buffett, just ride through all the ups & downs of stock marts - concentrating on individual stocks, ignoring the periodic up & down swings of the general markets.

If only i had been fully invested in quality stocks like Maybank,MISC, P Bank, Tenaga, Aji, Amway, D Lady, T Chong...just before the 'dot com' crash of Feb 2000, and hold on to 'em till today...how much $$$ would have i made now - despite of having to endure another even much bigger crash of 2008/9?
Can't keep good stocks down for long?
Can't keep speculative stocks up for long?
How many people can consistently time/outsmart marts over the long term?

Speculators always worries of mart corrections, and they fear the bears.
While investors sees opportunities in all the gloom. The only thing that investors are worried about - bearish trend that last many, many years as the the one in 1929.

News & Blogs

Only speculators worries during mart corrections.
Investors worries only when market stays in bear teritory for many years.
For example; if a investor had been fully invested just before the dotcom crash of Feb. 2000, in good & quality stocks like IOI, F&N, Amway, Shell, Maybank, Tan Chong...in his/her portfolio - they will be still making lots of$$$ today, even though having to endure another even bigger crash of 2008/9!

Most often than not, those who trade, speculate short terming...on stocks - are playing a zero sum, rigged, I win-you lose, fools...game.
While it's often, those who invest for the long term in value & dividend stocks - are playing a win-win & prosper for all game.
Which game do you want to be participating in, a game which begin & end well for all or a game where only meant to prosper a few, by making all the rest poor? If you choose the latter, then don't cry foul, unfair, cheats...when you suffer losses.
Often you reap what you sow!

Nothing can keep the bad up for long. They unlikely to bounce back, often they sinks down even lower.
Nothing can keep the good down for long! The good always bounces back, and they often bounces back higher & even higher - everytime.
The above applies both to humans & shares.

Have a portfolio of 6 to 10 stocks. Choose counters that have a record of uptrending profits & share price. Hold for about 2 years, then keep the winners & dump the losers. There are of course many other investing methods & strategies. I also believe that small investors, need a little bit of luck. I believe one should never try to time or outsmart mart - concentrate on individual counters instead of trying to outmanoeuvre market. But, i don't know whether all this works for all or not, it howeverr gave me - above average market beating return.

Its much easier to make money investing in good companies which profits are on a uptrend, than in companies that keep making losses over & over again.Don't try to time or outsmart market. If one is planning to be in market for the long term, don't buy speculative shares. Investing is more rewarding over the long term. In speculating & short term investing.you need lots of luck & have too endure much angst, stress, constant monitoring... There are many more billionaires & rich investors than rich short term speculators out there. If anyone can time/outsmart markets, like Bufffett can invest - he/she would be a trillionaire within 20 years!
