FY15 Revenue 15.6 Billion Profit only 117 Million. About 1% of revenue. I have complained at the last year AGM about this problem with profit. What kind of company who sell so much yet only made 1% profit. This is the problem with FGV. I have thrown in the towel. Even last year AGM I demanded the explanation on LLA which the CEO and CFO failed to answer. They promised to brief the analysts yet it is just an unfulfilled promise.

FGV is in the business of selling for one dollar and get profit of only a penny on every dollar of sale. Of course people will say at least they made a penny profit.. My worst investment.

agree wholeheartedly with yuefei01. A superinvestor and top stock picker can make money in all circumstances. Not only during stock crash and buy on the cheap. Of course now many predicting stock market crash. But to wait for the crash is clearly an indication of timing the market. Even Buffett did not time the market.

I thought small cap below 250M??? Parkson is nowhere near small cap. Outstanding shares 1 Billion. When it was above RM2 last year market cap more than 2 Billion. When it was RM5 few years back, market cap 5 Billion.

Problem is that his prediction might be true but maybe crash will only happen in 2017 or 2018. In the meantime, iCap just hoard the cash doing nothing. TTB got his yearly fee but shareholders got no benefit.

As a super investor paid millions every year, TTB should be able to pick stocks at will. People expect him to be expert stock picker. With his vast knowledge and experience, he should be able to invest and dispose shares at will. That is why people entrust their money to him. For him to just wait for crash and enter at the bottom of the market is just a proof that he is trying to time the market. Impossible unless he has crystal ball to know the future

The way SPAC was structured is like a treasure hunt with huge upside for the management team. However the downside is also big because they will lose first and they will lose all their investment. For investors, the downside is minimized bcoz there are 46 sen in trust for each unit of shares. If the treasure is discovered, the investors will make money in proportion to their shareholdings. Of course not as much gain as the management team. Historically the SPAC model is still not successful here but as I said the downside for investors is covered by money held in trust. That money cannot be touched at all until the discovery of the treasure (QA).

So to say the management will do nothing and makan gaji buta is not accurate. No QA means no gains for them. And they will lost all their investment though theirs were about 5 sen for each unit. That is why my view is that for those who bought below 40 sen, no worries. It is just that maybe you can find a better place to park your money.

If I understand the announcement correctly, the gloves to be sold in UK will only take effect next year for FY 2016 onward. So from now until June 2016, it should have no effect. Correct me if I am wrong.

Share buyback is ok. However if done excessively, it is questionable. Instead of using millions to buy back shares, Parkson should use the money for business purposes.

Supermax exports almost 100% of its gloves. That is why Uncle Stanley has the balls to whack BN.

But unfortunately Supermax is not performing. I have been holding since April last year. Only gain a little plus dividends. But other gloves counters are so expensive so just stick with this one.
