we have to understand more about their business. Their net debt for 2014 stood at 770mil which is deemed high. Yes they still have recuring income from IGBreit 25.6mil... its just too small...going forward are there able to sustain their business and are they able to servicing their debts? all O&G project has stopped. investor dump their shares with some solid reasons which we may not know. ya maybe now the price is low.. low doesnt mean will rebound... it could be remain stagnant at current level. or it may go down further. chances of going down/stagnant is > than going up at least for now.

They do not mind pay the termination penalty rather than pay for 2-3bil USD which cant turn them into profit atleast for the oil crashed sentiment...

simple the price boost was because of the decent 2nd interim dividend which i think CIMB is also smart. They delcare 3 cents divident try to disappoint the investors and also qoq results were all bad except the 4th quarter which ended the FYE 15 with some hopes from the revamp which escalates higher profit. Do you know that with this play they are able to accumulate CIMB shares at super cheap deal. Now they reap alot of profit from this drama :) it will be touching RM5 without pressure :) some institutional investor would be happy to wait for the EX date too. CIMB is now making a come back time!
