@ richman 2016 annual report shows Mara only own 2.85%, and last year until now, there is no changes in Mara Shareholding. So you still call this substantial? Listed in overseas is very common, especially HK and SG, especially for good company. This is because of various reason.
The major reason is those markets are more liquid than MY, because they are strict regulation, and most of them register their company in tax free heaven (Bermuda, Cayman Island).

Example: Worldgate global logistics, Media Chinese International, Genting HK, Parkson, Guoco and so on.


I think the proper question is: Are they qualified to be listed overseas and is their turnover/ profit worth those trouble.
