Nothing wrong with the stock . Something very wrong with the government!

It can’t go wrong to buy at 57 sen for a plantation stock amid robust CPO and with undervalued landbank.

ESG compliance will eventually lead prices for agriculture commodities, CPO especially, metals (steel, aluminum etc) and O&G to go higher and eventually stay elevated. Because of ESG , coupled with covid hiccups, there has been no capital investment and worse still there are rampant cut back to meet decarbonisation goals.

Don’t you think what is going on is a psychological warfare on minorities? Especially when the Advisor rated it unfair with over $3 EV

It’s unbelievably cheap at $0.57 . I pick up some between $0.565 to $0.57 today.

@infoSeek, the irony is investors are hesitant to buy the share at today’s price of $0.52-0.55 In this respect, no point to talk about what it really worth . Just my view .

SM has successfully taken many bursa isted companies private without hurdle eg, bernas, tradewind plantation, north container port , Johor port , etc etc .
I don’t think MMC is an exception.

I remember those failed privatization cases always with objections sounded well in advance by some shareholders who hold ‘sizable’ stake .
And, the price traded now (prior to AGM) should not be taken as the accurate indicator whether the privatization will succeed. Most of us may know that our market is not so straightforward and transparent as it appear .

Have anyone heard of any institutional investors or funds complaining or sounding displeasure of the offer price ie months after the announcement ? I haven’t.
For retail investors, I don’t think there is enough objection to derail the privatization amid extremely poor market sentiment now .

Watch out what IJM will do with their 43% ((direct + indirect) interest in WCE highway and the 60% interest in the 1,800 acres Rimbayu development jointly owned with WCE holding Bhd.

In today's market which is lacking of buying interest is easy to corner a stock to achieve one's objective. Cornering a stock doesn't necessarily mean selling short .

Quite obvious someone is cornering this stock ?

Extremely poor market sentiment and low investors' confidence is the result of bad government.

CPO Sept spot $4,700/-. Higher ASP plus higher 3rd qtr production and yet plantation stock price is down . I can’t understand the Malaysian stock market dynamics anymore.

I suspect Bplant will take a stake in the venture to be announced later. This intention has been announced by the group CEO months ago . Let's keep an eye on this 'negative' development.

I doubt there is viable commercial venture in algae for biofuel. Why waste time and resources in something not proven viable ? I must say that Bplant's Management simply set the priority wrong! There are so much more to do to improve production effeciency as Bplant yield per ha and return per ha is one of the lowest in the industry.

SOP lower share price is simply because of the ‘kedekut’ management paying crumbs (dividend) despite good earnings.

Malaysia has put a cap on land for oil palm to 6 mil ha (5,87 mil ha used as at 2020). Indonesia has implemented a 3 years moratorium on new planting. There is great pressure on the Indonesian government to extend the moratorium indefinitely due to environmental reason .
Consequently, AVERAGE CPO price will stay much high in the future amid stagnant /lower supply and in face of global warming threatening production (of other oil crops too). Oil palm plantantion will fetch a lot more due to scarcity of land.
Existing plantantion companies which generates huge amount of free cashflow can only expand thru brownfield acquisition.
M&A activity and privatisation will heat up in this sector .
