Director just announced he bought 20% of outstandin warrants at 0.18 sen. Sure will fly wohoooo

What I find interesting is that considering the huge accumulation of Scomi-Wa in the past 2-3 weeks and with expiry date coming in slightly over 30 days, there has not been any major conversion of the warrants to mother share. The feuding parties has yet to show fully their cards I think. Will be an interesting corporate battle between IJM and Abu Sahid
2012-11-09 19:50 | Report Abuse
Scomi announced today they have applied to SC to list the bond that they intend to issue to IJM. Battle will commence?

My TA skill is limited to knowing to always monitor the graph diligently to catch the start of the hook up or down hahaha well i suppose that is the fundamental of TA but having the discipline to sell on the hook down is sumthing i still have to acquire. something managed to sometime to degil or greedy to know any better
2012-05-22 16:19 | Report Abuse
jjtrader how do you train yourself to have the discipline to make the sell decision? even after 20 years and with concious effort to get that skill, i still find it hard to do. to sell when needed to...

again i want to learn from the experience of anyone who is trading full time as a source of income. is it viable?
2012-05-22 16:16 | Report Abuse
just that we being ikan bilis have to be extra cautious and must not fight the market

yuzuki there are some thought process involved in all these not just tembak je mah just that sometimes the market turns on you. even big banks with all their research team do lose money investing

atleast my broker tried to soothe my trader alter ego with freebies...it shouldn't make me happy but it did hahaha
2012-05-22 16:10 | Report Abuse
that is the hard part to assess as "rezeki rimau" type...win big lose big but always try to be on the plus column after all said and done.
hit real big on mbsb, harvest-wa, hibiscus-cw, jcy-cw, mtronic but still holding paper loss on mtronic, tms, focus,jcy-cw (sometimes I wonder what made me buy these crappy counters in the 1st place)
yang happy either is my broker sigh

2012-05-22 15:07 | Report Abuse
aiyah when price at 30-40 sen it was a fair PE for JCY back then why want to privatise. Now at current price PE is undervalued mah, owner can make tons of money. then again owner may be content makan measly 2-3 sen dividend per share each quarter hahaha we only cannot make money
2012-05-22 13:28 | Report Abuse
nah why bother...by the time the current CWs expire, they will issue another batch as they know owner not one to fight.
better off investing our money somewhere else. plenty of other interesting share to choose from. preparing my bullets for FGVH and IHH
2012-05-22 11:26 | Report Abuse
only 8,865 other shareholders only aiyaaah so little, so easy to privatise one. just do it

JCY volume today relatively very low compared to last 5 days? good sign? bad sign?
2012-05-22 10:22 | Report Abuse
last 5 day close to 100 million shares has been traded. about 5% of issued share. that is roughly rm 145 million in value. not a small amount
2012-05-22 10:19 | Report Abuse
could be they do not want to sell 10% but may sell 3-4% slowly into the market. not easy to get any other major investor in as the new investors will be dwarfed by the major shareholder significantly and the new investor will see it as a risk as they are not in control
2012-05-22 10:02 | Report Abuse
i may be wrong but if sell less than certain percentage of the holdings no need to announce. like i said i may be wrong
2012-05-22 09:48 | Report Abuse
considering the amount of selling going on for the last 1 week, plus the fact that there arec roughly only 25% free float not held by major shareholder, we must wonder if it is indeed the banks that are doing the selling.
i am now more inclined to think that it could infact be the major shareholder who is doing some of the selling. since their IPO listing they never have had the opportunity to realise into cash their shareholding at this high price level. plus they need to meet the public shareholding spread
may be just may be

2012-05-21 12:28 | Report Abuse
old school vs new school hahaha easier if just use number of units
2012-05-21 12:07 | Report Abuse
Just curious....in this I3 forum when ppl all mention they bought so many lots etc is that old lot (1000 units per lot) or new lot (100 units per lot). I am old school still tend to think in 1 lot = 1000 units

I am a believer of PE investing. Mid to long term I still believe a privatization is in the cards. They can almost double their value with a listing in HK or Spore. It will be too irresistable
2012-05-17 23:08 | Report Abuse
10 percent stake in JCY may be around 425 mil RM if ave buying price is around 1.75 RM. In USD it is peanuts in terms of CAPEX investments
2012-05-17 22:55 | Report Abuse
If not YKY the major shareholder taking it private I am speculating it will be Seagate or WD who will buy a big minority stake from the open market. Think about it, if you are Seagate will you spend hundreds of millions to rebuild your factory in Thailand knowing that it can be flooded again when the same amount of money can buy a meaningful stake in JCY and secure JCY production capacity?
