Interest rate up or down, recession or whatever, unless many Malaysians go into poverty, the demand for travel will still be there and will continue to grow. In fact, when economy is not good, people may substitute full service airlines like MAS/SQ for AA.

Another thing is AA got not much debt, so they wont be affected by sharp increases in interest rate. With the cash pile in hand, they can acquire new assets at discounted prices later ;)

I understand that the crack spread has recently turned negative, but this is probably temporary cos crack spreads don't stay negative forever..

guys, u need to see oil price volatility, not the absolute price. Cos if oil price up down like roller coasters, hard for people like HY and Petron to manage when to buy the crude oil...

Hence earnings will also become volatile...

so, the conclusion is just sell right ? hehe
