Remarks: The payment of the first and final dividend of 3 sen per share is subject to the shareholders' approval at the forthcoming 25th Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held on 7 November 2018.

Q4 result profit back to normalise with EPS 3.4 sen. Annual profit = 3.4 x 4 = 13.6 EPS multiple with 10 PER, fair value shall be 1.36.
Share price still have rooms to go up if JayCorp can further boost export sales and improve cost efficiency.

1H18 PBT is seriously affected by forex loss and impairment loss. 1H18 PBT: 19,180 add back forex loss (8,718) and impairment loss (4,499) = 32,396
1H17 PBT: 37,823 minus forex gain (6,128) = 31,695

FCF turns negative is bcoz heavy CAPEX of 35mil in the 1H18 versus 7mil in 1H17. Once Favco completed the acquisition of new subsi, FCF this year sure negative but it won't affect their dividend payout bcoz this is the main source of income to their parent holder, Muhibbah Engineering.

shpg22 Just don't understand how it can go up when both revenue and PATMI is in free fall. Expect dividend to drop to 8.00 cents for FY18 as FCF turned negative.

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 3): HeveaBoard Bhd announced this evening the demise of its independent and non-executive chairman Tan Sri Chan Choong Tack @ Chan Choong Tak at the age of 85.

In the filing to Bursa Malaysia today, HeveaBoard said the board of directors will announce the appointment of the new chairman in due course.

According to its Annual Report for 2017, HeveaBoard had appointed Chan as its Independent Non-Executive Director on Oct 1, 2004 and on Feb 12, 2010, he was re-designated as HeveaBoard’s Independent Non-Executive Chairman.

Chan had served as a teacher, a headmaster, the Secretary General of Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia, a senator as well as the President of the Senate in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, he has also served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Tenaga Nasional Bhd as well as a director of a few of its subsidiaries.

Shares of HeveaBoard closed unchanged at 83 sen for a market capitalisation of RM464.09 million. Over the past year, the stock has fallen as much as 45.25% from RM1.52.

Not bad result. 2018 will not be the good performance year but 2019 will be better due to higher profit contribution from KVMRT and Pan Borneo Highway project.

A bit surprise with this set of good QR. B4 I forecast 3 sen dividend only but they still wish to pay me 5 sen. Hopefully next year can keep improvement!

If you can't hold a good stock for 5 years, better dun buy Gadang for just 1 minute.

If just look at GP margin, Johotin performance is very consistent even thru forex fluctuations, high material costs etc. Indeed 2nd quarter GP margin of 16.76% is better than 1Q18 (13.54%) and 2Q17 (14.78%). But for bottom line, it varies due to forex gain or loss and higher operating costs. Can expect 3Q result is better than 2Q due to tax holidays effect, B40 consumers buy more dairy products and milk powder etc will boost higher turnover.

If not mistaken, Mexico JV biz shall start to contribute revenue and profit in the 2nd year of FY2018. It might be part of reason why operating cost is higher due to initial and setup cost.

If excluding PPE & stock written off amounting to 14,464, PBT shld be 5,744 instead of loss of 8,720. The only thing is they cant estimate insurance claim as at today otherwise they shld include the compensation into other income as well.

People can cross reference to Evergreen Fibreboard QR result. They mentioned that production cost is expected to be lower by falling log and glue prices.
Both Hevea and Evergreen also highlighted that Particleboard industry is quite competitive with new capacities, coupled with uncertainty from trade war.

Some key points:

Particleboard division - market sentiment is not good and competitors also expand capacity.

RTA divison - I trust that labour shortage issue been solved but again, they need to be trained for the operation. It may affect their production efficiency and productivity. Hopefully the automation process can help to improve cost optimization

Through USD is strengthening now against RM but it cant fully offset higher raw material costs and revised electricity hike in the 2nd half of this year, and possible revised minimum wages in the next year (assuming they have 2,200 to 2,400 FW, what is the impact of RM1.500 basic pay compared to existing now?)

I think FY2018 would be very challenging for them but FY2019 should be better performance year.

Based on people comments these few days, can see some ppl still don't know which projects GKent actually involved. GKent did not win ECRL any project actually. Can expect Thu or Fri share price shall be bounced back once SBB or research analyst came out to clarify the facts.
