The recent pp is used to pay up some borrowing. I guess is the foreign currency borrowing. Might be less than 13% now.

@lenglui. Only 13% of Hevea borrowings is in USD. The rest is in RM. It's stated in note22 2013 annual report! Correct me if i m wrong.

One of the reason Hevea having low growth in earning is because of it high PPE depreciation. Notice that the current tax rate is only 6%, meaning that Hevea's accountant has depreciated large amt of earning, leading to low earning growth. But depreciation is non cash item that will be added back to cash flow statement. It cash flow is fantastic. BUY!

Besides FA also have to see "taiko" mood la. So many good FA stocks are hybernating. FA fairly ok will do. If taiko still in Hevea sure will move.

lenglui :Please include the warrant into calculation of PE.. Then u will realize that actually hevea is not cheap
Warrant has time value. Investor are not so foolish to ex the warrant since warrant is far from maturity. Using fully dilluted EPS for PE calculation is meaningless. Right, using PE comparison to other companies without warrant will give Hevea some advantage. That's way PE comparison has it's flaw. What we can do is to find out value of warrant using option pricing model. Then we subtract the warrant value from the mother share intrinsic value.

From financial note B8 the loan amounting to 87.8mil is in RM. Where got USD? Pls advise.

lenglui example
Loan outstanding as at 31 Dec 13 USD 100 mio .. Exchange rate 3.3 .. Loan in Balance Sheet RM 330 mio
Loan outstanding as at 31 Dec 13 USD 100 mio .. Exchange rate 3.5 .. Loan in Balance Sheet RM 350 mio ... FX Loss RM 20 mio
The latest outstanding loan is 87.8mil. You're exaggerating the loan issue.

The lower Eps 5.85 is due to private placement; additional 9.04mil in sahe capital. So no. of share increased from 99.44mil from 90.4mil. That is non recurring event. No problem. RIGHT! Cash flow is fantastic. It's finance cost also reduced significantly! Once it paid up debt might pay more dividend. Or increase share capital and give bonus share!!!!!

Kannibu only gives us the net profit figure. We still need to see the sale. If profit decreases in tandem with sale, it is cyclical effect. If sale increases but profit decreases then it is sign of deterioration.

Add 15% time value to warrant's IV:
Assuming Insas share price hit $1.3 right after corporate exercise. IV = 30sen. Add 15% time value = 34.5sen, meaning warrants could be traded @34.5sen. For every 100 Insas share you get 40warrant * 34.5sen = $13.8. Immediate return = $13.8/ (100 * $1.3) * 100% = 10.6%

Every dollar Latitud pump yields 20sen. Homeritz even more. Close to 40sen. Heave only get 11sen. In order to grow earning Hevea has to pump in many2 dollars. Where to get so much money? Through debt? Issuing warrant? If Hevea doesn't improve it's ROIC or ROE very soon it'll reach it's terminal growth rate.
2014-11-19 21:55 | Report Abuse
That's right. ROIC is a better metric compare to ROE, and Hevea is still the inferior one. Both ROE & ROIC reflect how a company can sustain earning growth. How do u expect earning growth if ever dollar invested only yield peanut return? If earning doesn't grow how to sustain low PE? If Hevea can't improve it's ROIC or ROE, and share price keep rising very soon it'll have very high PE.
