May be my calculations is too complicated for you guy. Let me make a very simple analogy. If a man sell a watch for rm 1000. He make a after tax net profit of rm 100 . Then he decided to increase the price by 15 % to rm 1150 . He make an additional rm 150 right ? But this additional rm 150.is subjected to.a 25 % tax. After minus the tax, the additional profit is rm 112.5 。 Therefore total profit is 100 +112.5 = 212.5 which is double his original profit of rm 100.

An exercise of comparison assume all other factors remain equal, otherwise you cannot compare apple to apple when you have too many other moving variables. This is a simple concept that we learn in school.

pjseow, well done with your calculation to prove that a slightly higher ASP of 15% can actually double up on the net profit. Gf,MM,IM and GO should just accept the conclusion, as basically for comparison purposes we have to assume all other factors remain equal. You cannot suddenly impose other variables into the equation to complicate the matter. After all, factors such as raw material could move both ways, it could also go lower, which is what's happening now, nitrile butadiene price has dropped of late. Gf, u specifically asked for proof if15% higher than prepandemic price, can it lead to doubling of the net profit, and that is what pjseow has done.

@glovefinish Actually all the glove counters price non stop dropping until now at so low level mainly bcoz of the selling from forreign and local institutions funds. That means so far forreign and local funds are the net sellers of glove stocks but retailers are the net buyers to collect all their sold tickets. Thus u can see all the glove counters are mainly dominated by retailers trading, lack of funds trading now.

U know why forreign and local institution funds keep on selling to exit from glove counters bcoz they have foreseen the oversupply of gloves, the gradual decline of glove demand although it still higher than pre-pandemic level, the significant drop of ASP and the unsustainability of company super profit post-pandemic. Thus all the institution funds act ahead the retailers to sell and reduce their glove positions since end of last year until now.

Aside from RSS, the drop of glove counters price also much caused by the forreign and local institutions funds selling for exit.

When there is no fear of short selling, I don't think investors will just simply unload. In fact within these coming few months, the super earning cycles will prove to be sustainable for a longer period, that will be a booster for most glove counters.
