as such its still very possible that he will buy back JAKS

we just need to enlighten him more on Mong Duong 2 where as per sslee the FCF QTD (3 qtrs) 2019 is about RM 414 Million annualized. This translates to RM 244 Million for JAKS at 30% stakes of the identical power plant it has.

the above is at very low utilization rate, at utilization rate of vinh tan 1 level it would be way much higher

Sifu OTB has clearly stated in his projected TPs for Miss Jaks .
He has discounted local businesses to ZERO value.
The local assets is worth at least RM 300M & is more than sufficient to cover all local losses .

Tomorrow is Friday . Many are already on holiday mood. With another one week to go , 2019 will end . It is time to take stock of the achievement or failure for 2019.. As for me, 2019 is a good year for me in stock investment. My total return is 26 % ytd. My top 3 investment are Dayang ,mfcb, mfcb warrant and Jaks.. I had also invested in property and hotel for the past 12 years with fairly good returns but to me stock investment is still the best. My last 21years stock investment give me an average return of 18 to 20 %. I started with RM 170k in 1998 when the KLSE crash to 250 pt. The 18 to 20% annual compounded return will double your investment every 4 years. There are altogether 5 Four years within 20years. The final accumulated number will.be rm 170 x 2 to the power of 5 which is 32. The total is 5.44 million.

I am very optimistic on Jaks !! You need not agree with me .
From current price of 1.22 to 2.00 ( as stated by probability below ) , there is a margin of 0.78 which equals 64% gain !!
For those who are optimistic and see the opportunity, they can take position at own risk after measuring risk vs rewards ratio and with cut-loss strategy in place to protect capital .
For those who are pessimistic and can't see the opportunity esp. those who hate Jaks ( maybe becos they got burnt badly previously ) , then don't bother and can just let it pass .
Invest at own free will. No compulsion here !!

Note that the steam blow test is scheduled on 4th Jan. Its as good as ready for generating power. The next few months is purely procedural activities for commercial operation.

Letting it go now is the dumbest mistake one can ever make.

At the ultimate worst scenario, it should hit RM 2 at 50% utilization rate. It should touch this TP within this year.

No where u can find an investment with such high certainty.

I anticipate similar scenario will happen to Jaks !!
The next 2-3 qtrs results are no longer important even with lower construction revenue being recognized as expected ( as mentioned by OTB earlier ) .
Similar to MFCB , the market will be looking at Jaks's strong potential earnings growth expected from Jaks's Hai Duong plant's commercial operation expected April/May 2020 ( could be earlier hopefully ! ) .
MFCB is currently trading at nearly 5.00 and at P/E 8x & still considered as undervalued by IBs !!
What is Jaks's P/E now ?
I believe IBs will be re-rating Jaks as its Hai Duong plant is inching towards COD !!

Mega First Corp Bhd

Mega First, which owns the Don Sahong hydropower project in Laos, saw its net profit for the nine months ended Sept 30, 2019 (9MFY2019) slump 28% to RM70.49 million on lower construction revenue recognised.

At its closing share price of RM4.76 on Dec 9, Mega First was trading at an undemanding valuation of eight times its earnings.

Maybank Investment Bank Research, in a Nov 19 note, says the decrease in Mega First’s third-quarter earnings was in line with its forecast and that of consensus, as construction profit continues to taper with the construction of Don Sahong at 95% completion as at September.

“We expect 4QFY2019 to be a bumper quarter with potential accretion from the energy test sales. We reiterate a ‘buy’, supported by strong earnings growth expected from Don Sahong when operations commence in January 2020,” the firm adds.

Maybank IB Research has a target price for Mega First of RM5.50, which is a 15% upside potential to its closing price of RM4.76 on Dec 9.

Your comments are not totally wrong .
It all depends on what category of investor/trader u belong to !
If u belong to the category of "contra players, short-term traders or gamblers " , then u need certain skills in share playing to win , otherwise u will probably loose money .
For us like DK66, OTB , pjseow , deMusangKing , Sarifah & many others , we invest in Jaks long-term ( holding 1-2 years from now ) in anticipation of the great returns which its Vietnam power plant will bring to Jaks and hence leading to appreciation in its price . We disregard the noises along the way . We may not be 100% correct ! In share investing/trading, there is no 100% guarantee . We need also to set cut-loss in place .
