The timing of the release of the QR is very important. We have seen it happened to TG. It was released when so much negativity in the markets with DJ collapsed, China revised GDP, unemployment rates in Malaysia at 6%, OPEC cut production only for 1 month, Black Lives Matter etc etc. Just hope that whenever Supermax QR is released in July or August, things are a lot better than today.

Lim (Wee Chai) expects sales in the year to August to grow 30 per cent to more than 6bn Malaysian ringgit (US$1.4bn) from RM4.8bn in the last financial year. That compares with a compound annual growth rate of 21 per cent in the last 19 years. CIMB, a Malaysian bank, forecasts Top Glove’s net profit to more than double from RM368m in 2019 to RM864m this year and RM1.2bn by 2021.

Topside maintenance is non adhoc work and it is contractual basis based on agreed planned or scheduled maintenance. The oil platform and offshore vessels need to work 24/7 for oil production. HY made huge investment to upgrade their plants back in 2019 for low sulfur products - IMO2020 regulation. Back then the economics were fantastic because oil price forecast for 2020 was at 70-80$/bbl and above 100$/bbl from 2022 onwards. Low sulfur products were very very expensive in 2019. At the current oil price, that investment is far from breakeven. Moving forward we wont see oil price reaches 80$/bbl until post 2028!

Why would stock plunge on rumor of 2nd wave of Covid19? Most countries did well during 1st wave and they all should be well equipped and ready by now. 2nd wave should not be as bad as 1st wave because government and the public now know what to do and what not to do. We all have done the drills.

Today limit up at 11 hopefully, and then next week shoot up to 15 after IB revises their TP for top 4 gloves ... kikiki!
