It is very seductive to sell a great company when it's price goes high. After that you will not have chance to buy back as the high will go even higher following the consistent up trend of financial performance of the company.
I prefer earn it slowly but steady.

In term of performance if price of the shares, I agree that TurtleSing is very lousy. However if looking at its financial performance, it is a consistent and excellent company.
Most of the research houses give TP less than 3.00, except CIMB and AMMB. I gave target price more any of them, but in very long term. I see Mudajaya as a "dead chicken/死雞" at the moment, therefore I have quietly collected some.

If looking back, my "hold" decision is unwise. I should sell when price dropped 20-40%(from rm1.25 to rm1.00 - rm0.75), especially the price drop was due to structural change in its biz/industry where HDD goes into sun set and growth prospect of camera was badly affected by the quantum leap advancement on smartphone(with camera function).
If I sold and switched to another tech related counters such as GTronic, MPI, Unisem or PIE, I would have made good profit instead of loosing big in Notion.

Anyway I am still stupidly holding tight to this big loser.

22July(today) is exactly 4 years anniversary. Long term investment in Notion costs me 48% in loss.
I need 75% gain from today to recover my initial cost. May be another 4 years if I am lucky enough.

I am a very sentimental people, once I love a girl(Mahsing), I will very love her for long term. This is the nature character, I cannot help myself.

Luckily I can love many girls at the same time, therefore besides Mahsing, I love Huayang, Matrix and MKH too. Most of the time, I go to Huayang and MKH even though the biggest "wife/大婆" is Mahsing. Ghost asks her not sexy enough.

I keep on collecting the so called “dead chicken” because I believe in its long term growth prospect.

Risk assessment: IF the broad market turns Bear, TSH may lose 26% from 3.50 to 2.66. In order to recoup the capital at 3.50, I just need to wait for 2 years. The assumption is that the simple average annual growth rate on PAT for the last 4 years was ~13%. With the same growth rate, TSH will grow another 26% from 2.66 to 3.50 in 2 years (assume similar PEx). So the risk of investing in TSH at 3.50 for 2 years is not unbearable.
Furthermore, each year I will be given 1.3% consolation dividend yield. I would just deem it as keeping RM3500 in saving account as many uncles and untie do.

dragonfruits : You are absolutely right in term of return on investment between HuaYang and MahSing.

Even though I have had handsome return from Huayang, it is a bit unfortunate that my biggest investment is with turtle Mahsing. How wonderful would be if share price of Mahsing can perform as good as HuaYang. I am still waiting for Mahsing to Huat me.

Yes! My 1st and 2nd batches of Huayang were bought on 14Feb13 and 26May14 respectively. As at today, both have delivered handsome return at 105% and 24.4% respectively after deducting out the trading commission. Thank you the management team of Huayang and all supporters in this forum.

Glad to have Trop ups to 1.85 or higher which will bring me some wealth. However It is unnecessary in beating Mahsing as I have big piece of cake on Mahsing too. Why not win-win ?
