I like the story too but that is longer term as earnings drivers are not in place yet. No crystal ball but sold most of my holdings recently to shift to other stocks. Hope can buy back when timing is right.

After a cautious opening this morning, AA is holding up well now. Got chance AA will do better in afternoon.

The IMF downgraded global growth again last night. Nothing drastic but it was due to uncertainty from Brexit. This may mean global interest rates could stay lower for longer. However, the recent weakness of the ringgit is a bit surprising. It is 4.02 this morning. Could cause some short term cautiousness on AA this morning. Happy Investing!

Big picture remains positive. IMF latest report downgraded global growth again overnight. Not surprised Supermax was up yesterday. It is very oversold and longer term valuations is not high anymore. However, I suspect any upside will be limited as gloves still face significant cost headwinds in near term. For now, I would prefer AA, Armada, Padini and F&N. As usual, do your own research and do not follow anyone's calls blindly. Happy Investing!

Ringgit at 4.00, not expecting ringgit to weaken much from these levels.

Reasonable closing as expected, steady accumulation pattern continues.

Today market breadth is negative with profit taking on recent gainers. If AA can have a reasonable closing, it would be an encouraging sign already.

Don't underestimate market and AA.

Wah, still up again! I was wrong to partly sell out at 0.85. Lucky still got some.

Big picture remains positive. We got FOMC and BOJ meetings next week, the sharply weaker Yen is noteworthy. Longer term valuation for Supermx is reasonable after the sharp YTD fall but I still don't think the timing is right to buy as gloves still face major cost headwinds. Monitor closely but while waiting, prefer AA, Armada, Padini and F&N. Happy Investing!

Do not underestimate this market, it is more risk on than many realize. We got FOMC and BOJ meetings next week, the sharply weaker Yen is noteworthy. No crystal ball but believe that this big picture on global equities is positive for AA, Buy With Conviction. Happy Investing!

I agree with Investo, only shameful members of Kai89 group will attack big picture comments but say nothing about fraudulent comments and crude words used. Readers not stupid. Hehe

Reasonable closing again, the pattern of gradual accumulation is intact. Expect price to rise steadily and rally before 2Q16 is announced.

Suspect EG will snooze for now as earnings drivers not in place yet. Will continue to monitor it closely as longer term fundamentals look interesting.

Brent still holding up well within $45 - $50. Expect downside to be limited given improved big picture for oil demand-supply in 2H16. Hopefully, this will lead to a re-rating of fundamentally strong oil & gas stocks currently trading at attractive valuations. Positive on Armada in the longer term. Hope for the best!

There could be some cautiousness after the attempted military coup in Turkey over the weekend. Ringgit is also sharply weaker this morning at 3.98. However, big picture for equities remains positive and I think the recent risk-on posture by global investors has not changed. Hope AA will continue to benefit from portfolio adjustments in favour of growth stocks. Happy Investing!

Big picture unchanged, still positive for equities. Longer term valuation for Supermax and gloves are now reasonable after the sharp decline the last few months but in terms of timing, i would still give them a miss for now. While waiting, I prefer AA, Padini, Armada and F&H. Happy Investing!

Yes, as expected a reasonable closing, they pushed it up to close unchanged. That means the pattern is intact. AA remains a Buy With Conviction. Hehe

Big picture on equities positive and the market is better than many people realize. I will come back later for EG when outlook for exports look better. Now there are better action elsewhere

Oil rebounded slightly last night but looks weak again this morning in Asian trading. Still like Armada but might have to hold longer.
2016-07-15 08:52 | Report Abuse
Big picture for equities is positive. Longer term valuation of Supermax and gloves are now reasonable after sharp YTD but in the near term they face significant headwinds to earnings growth. I would still them a miss for now and wait for a better timing. For now, i prefer AA, Armada, Padini N F&N. Happy Investing!

Big picture for equities is positive, do not underestimate the markets. With risk-on, portfolio adjustments may see flows into EM (ringgit strong recently) and AA is clearly a potential beneficiary in view of its improving fundamentals and regional exposure. Today is Friday but I am still hopeful AA will continue to do well today. Happy Investing!

If it is true that the last few days a fund was accumulating to build a big position, then AA should continue to close strong today and up a few sen again.

Ringgit at 3.94, reflect positive big picture on EM equities and is good for AA. Hope more action on AA in the afternoon. Hehe

Oil price up 1% but this is only small rebound from recent fall from $50 (Brent). Hope it recovers further which would be good for Armada.

Don't think today's volume will be anywhere near yesterday's. Nevertheless, AA can still rise as selling volume is also lower.

I will come back later for EG if outlook for exports look better. Now better action elsewhere. What's the story with Comcorp?
2016-07-14 11:26 | Report Abuse
Ringgit at 3.95, good for AA and also indicate it is risk on again.

Big picture for equities has improved. Funds expected to shift from defensives to growth for now. Longer term valuation for Supermax and gloves is now reasonable after their sharp fall YTD but big picture suggests it is not time to buy yet due to cost headwinds. For now prefer AA, Padini, Armada and F&N. Happy Investing!

Decided to sell first and come back later. More action elsewhere for now I think.

Oil tumbled 4% last night on concerns over slowing growth in demand. Hope oil prices won't fall much further. Global oil inventory still high but is slowly falling.

Big picture for equities is positive. BOJ is talking about more stimulus, BOE may cut rates later today. BNM cut by 25bps yesterday. Likely will see money shifting into growth theme stocks again as it is risk-on for now. The expected strong earnings for 2Q16 and positive newsflow suggest that AA is a buy with conviction! Hope it continues to rise today. Hehe

Good closing at 2.75. The way the trades are being done, there could be a fund accumulating a significant position. If true, it will be positive for AA and may take it to the next level. Hope for the best!

Regional markets up again. Ringgit also strong, holding at below 4.00. All these suggest big picture for equities positive and investors are risk-on for now. AA should benefit from inflow to growth stocks, from defensive plays,
2016-07-13 09:31 | Report Abuse
As expected, after some selling AA back to about unchanged. With big picture positive on equities, got chance AA may rise further today.

Global stock rally reinforces my belief that big picture for equities is not only still positive, it has actually improved recently even. I would be back to fully invested. Longer term valuation of supermax and gloves ok but big picture suggests it is not time to buy them yet. For now I prefer AA, Armada, Padini and F&N (EG downgraded for now).

Continued accumulation pattern remain intact. In line with risk-on posture as big picture for equities positive. Priming up for a bigger push before results, i hope. Hehe
