No use discussing when the factors determining the final no.are so varied & unknown, with the BPI fluctuating between 1,460 & 2,236 between Oct 1 & now...I stick to my forecast of a small +ve EPS to be announced end-Feb '23.

Baltic Dry Index has risen 39% since a month ago with the Panamax index about 9% higher & stabilised at the highest levels of 2013 & 2018, 60% higher than the average levels between 2012-2020 when the co. incurred huge losses. I estimate 4Q result to be in line with the 1Q '21 result based on these index levels or perhaps half due to the smaller fleet size which still gives it a reasonable PE of 15-20 going fwd.

I'm mentally prepared for it to drop to as low as 32c after ex-dividend. However, the equivalent of more than 50% of my dividend income for 2022 will have been earned by Jan 5th 2023 =)

This stock is not for syiok2 sendiri gamblers like hng33...one orgas m & then it's over...a longer-term view will provide continuous pleasure when the bull revisits again!

If my Comcorp can go from 2.5c then suspended & limit-up 3X to 99c & eventually earn 24% on my 79c & my MGM China can rise from HK$3.01 last month to HK$8.82 now despite losing over a billion & its NTA dropping by 85%, Maybulk can revisit $1 in 2023....

As long as we know the co. has huge cash reserves & NO DEBT in this rising interest rate environment & the charter rates are still profitable & the 2 owned ships still have a mkt value of 280-300 mil, pocketing the 100 mil dividend shld not affect the co's core biz in the medium term. Better than throwing a large chunk of that $ into a low margin biz just for the sake of deworsifying(diversifying)!

Fortunately, I DID buy the day after the qtrly result & bought 7 days in a row @ 41-44c since then...this morning, I gasak another 25k shrs to shoot my holding to over 100k & my average cost to 57c :D

SOLD ALL my Conmintel bought @ 79.4c for the 45c dividend in 2018...mostly @ 99c @ the market open! SAYONARA CON STOCK!!! =D

Not against management being held accountable & I'm curious how they respond to this letter...however, I believe they're cunning enough to justify their trading missteps to avoid accountability.

MISC will never sell a single of their 1,064 bil shrs & I doubt No.2 s-holder Technip, who is losing $400 mil on paper on their 2010 investment even after the recent spectacular rise, will do so either.

HY is not a buy-and-hold type stock...I was fortunate to have traded in & out 5 times this year & generate some compensation for my waiting for whenever the boom period is to sell out @ a profit. Shld hv learnt the lesson of my long holding & averaging down from '14 to '16 & only being able to finally exit in '17.

I almost never buy shares close to a quarterly rpt because unless you're an insider, usually the prediction is quite far off becos there are so many moving parts that contribute to the final no. eg crystallized unrealised gain/loss, writeoffs, writebacks etc etc

As outside investors, we always never have the full picture, no matter how transparent the annual report is...I myself also guessed wrongly about HY's result but I mitigated my risk with a net long position of only 600 shrs. As a full-time investor/trader, I always have to consider the emotional/financial impact of the opposite scenario.

U made a calculated bet & lost...take responsibility for not selling off everything in early Nov & stop blaming others for your mistakes...

Needs to limit up for me 2 breakeven on all my shrs, incl the high-priced ones I started buying in late 2014. Fortunately, also earned 4,287.65 in '13-'14 & '18-'19 on trading the shares & dividends, so I have been paid to wait.

Ppl who have too much money & not disciplined to control their gambling instinct by managing risk are a DANGER to their own health! Yesterday a Malay share gambler got force sold 250k shrs of ASB which he bought AFTER Anwar came to power...@26c...lost at least 20k

OMG...this stock really test my patience like few others! Well, at least the 28k pledged to my margin a/c rose in value by $4480 since last month so I can speculate on more hidden gems.

Another DISMAL result...deserves to crash to 5c

Why popular website says crack spread is still $31.3 per barrel? Used to have 10 lots of this @ a cost of 6.77...but started running @ 7.60 & sold the last lot @ 10.82 in Dec '17.

Bought back 200 shrs for AGM @ 8+ then averaged down another 400 for the recent dividend, with the new cost @ around 6.00. I guess they finally crystallized the floating paper derivative losses...Nvm lah...hold 600 shrs for another 3+ years like I did the original purchase when it was still called Shell Refining...consolation prize is that 2day is my FIFTH time trading in & out of the shrs short-term so far in '22, after coming up empty handed in 2019-2021.

This co. won't bankrupt but it could go as low as 1.80-2.00...so what?lol
