Those with short position trying to talk the stock down so they can cover without losing their pants. Those with long position talking stock up so they can buy low sell high. Simple.

Checked all my records since I traded Hexza for the 1st time ever in '14. Admittedly sold too early back then & the max position was always <10k shrs but the total capital gains is $1,867.77 so the CG/Div ratio is roughly 60/40 which at least trumps de facto inflation since dividends alone fall short.

That's why I hold minimal stake as often as possible, even in the most well-run & solid companies, coz M'sians in general & Bursa are KOYAK when it comes to their reliability in generating daily income for me. Sold down to ZERO KLK several weeks back & only odd lots of PPB above $16 some months ago, & yes I only have 200 Petron left[costing me $4.58 btw], which on hindsight proved right for me since most of my sales were above $5 in '22 & '23. Pity the friend who lost his bet with me on the direction of the shr price by 9 cents & then illogically bought back what he sold 20 cents cheaper just b4 the dividend( I suspect so that the dividend would pay for the treat he was forced to give me) & is now stuck @ $4.93 until dunno when...😆 A stock that earned 30 cents last qtr only went up 3 cents on the news...the faithless & the poor cannot initiate a bull market!

As I suspected, the gain from shr trading would NOT be reflected & so I SOLD 2,000 that I speculatively bought in the margin a/c @ 96c for $1 today, correctly forecasting that the likely tepid non-shr trading results would be released after today's close! Re-purchased the CWG I bought & re-SOLD so profitably in 2021 & bought & re-SOLD for kopi $ in '22 for 35c this morning.

I don't mind being stuck coz I got lotsa spare cash & refuse to pay endless broker commissions like rr88 & the old ijit paktua73 wending in & out of the mkt...still better than FD...jealous?🤣 My Nishishiba stuck for 17 months b4 being taken over by Toshiba & earning a 71% return, Sekonic stuck for 50 months but rewarded with a 163% return in another takeover and finally, Teraoka was stuck for 46 months before management BUYOUT @ a 49% premium over my entry...I'm not a pure gambler who doesn't calculate odds assiduously, like rr88 & paktua73 for instance...😝

Follow EPF long ago arrive in Horlan already lol(Serbak, Sapnrg, Econbhd, SKPRes, AEON, MRCB etc etc) Highly overvalued with CPO at these levels....also debt is huge & unlike YTL, not a prudent load with overdependence on one industry.

Re-deployed the capital released by 7-dividend-earning PBA & 5-dividend earning KPS into more of an investment that will give me yet another bumper dividend, this time well before Christmas!🤗

Thank you waterFISH chasers for helping me to escape from half my KPS stake re-acquired in '21 & '22 below 80c (SOLD in '20 & '21 @ 1.07 & 1.14) this morning & maintaining my 100% win record here...+ 810 days of stock trading gains consecutively!!!🤗

I kinda forgot about it until the qtr result caught my eye yesterday BUT didn't expect it to be so GARANG, traditionally being an 'old man' stock that hardly moves but pays regular divvy.
