Re-purchased the CWG I bought & re-SOLD so profitably in 2021 & bought & re-SOLD for kopi $ in '22 for 35c this morning.

I don't mind being stuck coz I got lotsa spare cash & refuse to pay endless broker commissions like rr88 & the old ijit paktua73 wending in & out of the mkt...still better than FD...jealous?🤣 My Nishishiba stuck for 17 months b4 being taken over by Toshiba & earning a 71% return, Sekonic stuck for 50 months but rewarded with a 163% return in another takeover and finally, Teraoka was stuck for 46 months before management BUYOUT @ a 49% premium over my entry...I'm not a pure gambler who doesn't calculate odds assiduously, like rr88 & paktua73 for instance...😝

YTL (& to a smaller extent, YTLPower) has certainly made a tidy contribution to my coffers this year, yet its secondary market Tokyo has put this completely into the shade with a 31.8% share of 23's earnings from 18 Japanese stocks so far, the highest ever! [Besides crossing huge round numbers of profit figures that seemed out of reach just a few months ago!]

All the best to those still invested in UMW...unfortunately not me! However, I managed to SELL my Teraoka in Japan after 2 limit ups, at ¥3,000 OVER & above the takeover level of ¥564, the BIGGEST payday in 2023(& the biggest since Nov 18, '21 when another of my Japan picks, Sekonic, was taken over)! There's always a possibility they will increase the price on a takeover attempt, as happened for my Mintye(2019), OldTown(2018), Selangor Ppties(2017) & M'sia Packaging(2016)! 🤗

Confirmed no physical AGM so NO door gift! Looks like I can sell below 1,000 shares after ex-div without missing out on any potential voucher!🤗 It's a bit ironic that I bought my first 1k @ $1.60 in 2014 just for the voucher, then increased it to 13.633k by Nov '22...

Because I was forced to sell a portion of shares 2 wks ago but didn't want to miss out on the dividend, I bought back half of the stake I sold last week @ below $1.39 or more than 10c cheaper than the sold price. Hopefully will go back above $1.60!

Got the Oldtown cheque for $3.50 per shr in mid-2018. Unfortunately it was only for 100 shares, bought to attend the AGMs in '15,'16 & '17. Today, a Japanese forumer in Yahoo Japan forums wrote(translated):

Candlestick chart is almost a carbon copy of Su-MATI-c's bearish engulfing in Sep '14 after they goreng to a peak of 63.5c. After that my MBB dealer said he had a client who kept on averaging down until he spent over $500,000 & was holding at an average 18c. There's even a phrase in the investing lexicon for such fools who buy on the 1st big down day at the beginning of the END: 'picking pennies in front of a steamroller'🤣 Well, some just speculate on price with no regard to fundamentals or any other measure of value...serves them right...
