20c per shr cash is pathetic compared to my Jasa Kita which, despite rising strongly to 18.5c, has >13c cash per shr & also property assets on a smaller scale & TSH is also faaaar from the Grahamian standard of net-net. Japan has many many small-to-mid-cap cos with small amts of outstanding scrip & much better valuation metrics & so I take advantage of the depreciated ¥ to earn dividends 2wice a year vs inconsistent sporadic dividends from this overticketed co.

US$30 billion needed to 'complete' the sprawling 'capital' but Indon gov only foots US$6 bil? No foreign nor local investors are interested to fill the gap & rightly so! Kalimantan jungles are cursed for those who dare to disturb the forest spirits by clearing the jungles. This reminds me of local corrupt ex-leaders' & their cronies' pet projects that stalled from lack of funding in '97-98 & over the last few years. Obviously a Jokowi political pet project that will fail from lack of funding...

Indons like locals love their malls & no mall operator will risk building one in such an ulu jungle!

What a WEEK! 55****+ in earnings thanks to Great Eastern, YTL & today, Japan Power Fastening! The 8th best week of my 30 years in the market as well as the BEST JUNE in those 30 years!!!(1994-2024) A bonus is that I had thought I had SOLD all my CMSB earlier this year but today's dividend credit made me aware that I still had 1 lot left...a nice thing to have with the price hitting 52-week highs!🤗

Compounding is truly magical at the end of the long compounding period.

The person who invested at age 20 years, the last doubling from age of 54 to 61 was $64 - $32 = $32. This $32 incremental gain in his portfolio value is MORE than all the doubling gains of his portfolio from age 20 to age 54.

This is a HUGE FIGURE.

As my journey with Dutch Lady [bought high $48.66, held 5 years, sold $64.32 & received $15 in divvies, repurchased $29.76, received 50c in divvies, re-sold $33+] & others have shown me, there's always a good time to SELL a good investment though the timing is tricky. Only in the US & some European markets are there buy-and-hold-forever-type companies as there is less probability of corporate chicanery as compared to Asian & other developing markets. Long-term investment is getting more treacherous as the capitalist Ponzi scheme is very long in the tooth & population birth rates are sinking into the abyss as less & less people are willing to buy into the Matrix of modern slavery.

One can almost guarantee that Dutch Lady will never rise to $50 again unless they start exporting to more countries.

Don't anyhow catch falling knife hor...those who bought @ the last peak in early '12 had to wait more than 12 years to breakeven! YTLPowr even worse...those who bought the '07 peak had to wait 17 years to recoup their losses!

Averaged DOWN 10.5k @ 46.5c to bring my holdings to over 50k for the first time ever. Within months, likely in the 2025 qtrs, it should reflect more consistent 5-8% ROE on their $5.7billion order book.

100k in a year is not a big deal for some ppl, but at least it was part of a consistent streak that lasted months until the sharp bear move at the end of 2018. Better than ppl who make 7-figures in '20 & then losing most of it re-entering the same glove stocks when they had corrected [ I personally know a local who worked in SG & bought TopGlove timely, sold a little too early but still made $350k then re-entered @ $6-7 & whose paper loss is now greater than his realized gain]. Many made quick$ in the manic post-Covid bull move that saw a peak of 27 billion shares traded on Aug 7th but like a flash in a pan, lost it all when the speculative blowup abruptly ended. Ditto for the University students & SG celebrities who made S$500,000+ in the May-Jun '99 SESDAQ market run up only to lose it ALL & more when the shares crashed back to where they started eg Amara from 20c to 80c back to 20c by 2000. Ditto for the Archegos fiasco in '21 when Michael Hwang who was allegedly worth $10 billion at the peak saw his paper fortune vanish with a margin call initiated by GoldmanS. I remember that well because my Nomura was showing thousands in paper profit at its peak price in Feb '21 but vanished in a day & turned to losses on Monday when the Japanese broker announced a $2 bil hit from Archegos. Fortunately, I held on & this year SOLD Nomura shares significantly HIGHER than that fateful 2021 peak price on top of tens of thousands of yen dividends in the intervening 3 years.

Can YOU even maintain 100 continuous market days of trading profit, let alone the 462 days I attained in '17-'18 & the 1,003 days & counting since Jul 29 2020? 🤣 It's better to be slow, consistent & still alive than fast, BIG & then DEAD!
