The country has recorded an additional 61,140 cases since the start of the third wave of Covid-19 infections on Sept 20, when there were 10,219 cases.This afternoon, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) for Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Sabah will be extended for another 14 days from Dec 7 until Dec 20.In Selangor, three districts, namely Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor, will not be under the CMCO.Meanwhile, the CMCO in Perak, Kelantan, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Labuan and Putrajaya will be lifted from midnight tomorrow.

The deceased — involving four men — were aged between 46 and 75 years with several health complications such as high blood pressure, asthma, diabetes, and stroke.The number of active cases, which carry high transmission risks, dropped slightly to 10,775 from 10,799 reported yesterday.Currently, 130 patients are being treated in intensive care units, with 54 needing ventilators.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Human Resources (MoHR) said it had opened 19 investigation papers against six companies related to Top Glove Corp under the Workers’ Minimum Standards of Housing and Amenities Act 1990 (Act 446) following enforcement operations in five States — Perak, Kedah, Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan and Johor — amid the spread of Covid-19 infections in the Teratai Cluster.Top Glove said in a statement yesterday the company will be extending its fullest cooperation to the relevant authorities on the matter.
