So many excuses...
saltedfish, why don't you take the initiative to contact the management and get the answer yourself?
2016-01-07 21:00 | Report Abuse
That's the right thing to do. Ask the management directly. Thank you for taking the initiative, Mr. OTB.

All companies are facing issues every day. It's up to their employees to resolve the problems. Where to find a company that is without issues? If shareholders have to look at the company at every issue, how to sleep comfortably at night?
secondly, is this issue big enough to report it? How large is this in terms of revenue? what's the worst case scenario? Find out from management first before writing.

Very simple. The author should get clarification from the management and report here before writing this.

It halts trade for 15 minutes if the CSI300 index falls or rises 5 per cent in a day, then suspends trade for the day if it continues to fall or rise to 7 per cent.

as long as the earning and profit is still intact, this is not important. Anyway, thanks for bringing down the share price!

Lollipot Anison, you are right. Ringgit Malaysia weakens to 4.38, wow so fast
China's central bank set the yuan at a much weaker level than Tuesday's close. If I am not mistaken, they have been doing this since last week.

We should keep those export based stocks for longer term.
last quarter, USD ranged from 4.20 to 4.30 vs the MYR most of the time, even when oil dropped below U$40. But when Chinese RMB weakened the last few days, MYR weakened to 4.35 vs USD. I think Chinese RMB will keep our Ringgit Malaysia to be weak for some time, to maintain export competitiveness.
I think this trend will continue longer than previously expected and export based stocks will continue to climb. Those undervalued ones will most likely to make higher high.

Supergeng, they behave exactly as expected. Nothing unusual at all, to be honest.
FBMKLCI-H5 Exercise Price = 1,500.00, exercise ratio = 700
FBMKLCI-HK Exercise Price = 1,735.00, exercise ratio = 666
For HK, once the index drop below 1735, it has value;
For H5, once the index drop below 1500, it has value.
Last year the index ended at 1692.51, and it ended today at 1653.37
HK already has value at current index
H5 is so far away from current index, that's why it does not move as much
2016-01-04 16:42 | Report Abuse
exactly, that's why we should choose the one that is very close to the current index.
2016-01-04 16:28 | Report Abuse
The Exercise Price for HK is 1735; H5 is 1500. Their exercise ratio is almost the same.
but H5 is too far away from the current index, that's why it does not move as much as HK. Again you can use the formula to verify this

I would suggest you just concentrate on the mathematics side, choose the right warrant and get rewarded. Good luck!
2016-01-04 16:02 | Report Abuse
the other factor is demand and supply. If suddenly there is a big demand, it will increase the price of the warrant as well.
2016-01-04 15:52 | Report Abuse
Like I said, there are technical reasons how the warrants behave.
Intrinsic value of a warrant = (Current Index - Exercise Price) / Exercise Ratio
That means the lower the exercise ratio, the higher the value.
I noticed FBMKLCI-H5 and FBMKLCI-HZ were almost the same price this morning. Look what happens? Check how much exercise ratio of H5 and HZ.
It's not con business, its mathematics.

I posted this before, and I would like to post it again.
There are technical reasons why your put warrants that you buy is not moving.
please go to this web site and study first:
https://www.malaysiawarrants.com.my/tools?sp=dwsearch
you need to choose the right ones. For a start, choose the put warrant with very very low exercise ratio. The index plunged almost 30 points today. It should be a good day for put warrants. Those that are moving are those with low exercise ratio
2016-01-04 12:26 | Report Abuse
even at this level 1670, it is still at the high end of the range.
together bad news from China and the fear that fuel price will drop lower than the recent low, I expect the index to drop further.

Some of you are full time traders and I hope one day I will join you as well. Thank you for your sharing.

if you only want to hold HX or HY intra day or a few days, it's okay.

noobnnew, you can also consider HX or HY if you do not buy a lot (volume not big) and if you play short term (expiry end of next month 31 Jan 16)

vinoth, I have not looked at index warrants for a while.
I usually choose the one that
1) can easily buy and sell (preferred those issued by Macquarie)
2) small spread between bid price and ask price (usually RM0.05 only)
3) low exercise ratio
Bsed on my criteria, I will monitor the following:
FBMKLCI-C9
FBMKLCI-C7
FBMKLCI-C20
For intra day trade, I will monitor:
FBMKLCI-CZ
2015-12-10 17:18 | Report Abuse
mslee81, FBMKLCI-CZ is not worth a sen now and will become worthless if the index can not close above 1680 when it expires in the next 3 weeks. Its price will drop more the nearer it is towards the expiry date. It is only suitable for intra-day trade, or very short term trade right now.

if I am not mistaken, it uses the old number of shares to calculate the EPS. After the split, the number of shares increases to 192.357 mil. shares
Net profit = 5039000
Number of shares = 192357000
EPS = 5039000/192357000 = RM0.026 or 2.6 sen
