@ah_boon I appreciate it mate. I am just trying to make it clear. Notice that there are many syndicate groups outside but not just Mr Koon.

I was actually looking at Latitude chart as well. The period of disposing is from 16 Nov to 23 Nov. During that period, Latitude price increased 6.49 to 7.3. I am totally confused. It seems that when he disposed the price doesn't really change much or increase if based on VS and Latitude cases.
Well, it is either he was trying to dispose at a way that the prices didn't fall much or he is switching from one account to another account.

@ah_boon If he can do so, why does he dispose his accounts that holding substantial amount of shares? I am confused.
2016-06-05 09:05 | Report Abuse
@optimus9199 I see. Look like he was disposing when the price was already bottomed. How about Latitude?

"He said VS drop due to strengthening of Ringgit but in actual fact, he has disposed 44 million shares."
When did he sell the shares and what was the transacted price?

Notice that Lii Hen revenue has finally on par with Latitude. In other word, Lii Hen already over taken Latitude as the largest furniture exporter company in Malaysia.
Instead of focusing on currency rate which i always consider it as a bonus for its profit, it's wiser to always keep an eye on US housing market condition.
"An increase in the number of homes changing hands is critical for economic growth because with each sale to a new buyer, large purchases necessarily follow: refrigerators, furniture, all sorts of other household goods and services.
It’s not only pending home sales that are looking a lot better. New home sales also jumped in April by their biggest amount in nearly a quarter century to an 8-year high."

It's only show LiiHen doesn't really depend solely on forex. Its products are highly demanded. Pretty sad to see Latitude QR is very bad. Well, this kind of explain why they insist on not giving out bonus issues or higher dividend. Perhaps they already foresee this is coming.

In technology aspect, they are using 3D printing technique.
"With five-piece bedrooms retailing primarily from $899 to $1,099, bedroom remains a core part of its business in the U.S. market. But the company also does well in other categories, including dining and accent furniture, and its investments in new 3D printing technology has allowed it to provide hand-painted looks on accent chests by applying an image taken from a photograph to the drawer fronts."

I guess it's just that they have been in US market for quite a long time compared to other companies.

That's true and it's consistent with US furniture sales data. Let's see if US Fed gonna raise interest rate in June/July.

I pity him for ruining his own reputation especially at his current age. Well, time will prove everything, I would like to see how he will respond to the media.

Thank for your advice but it really doesn't matter. I am expecting around 21 cent DPS which will give around 8.3% dividend yield for this year. If he is gonna sell his shares, it will just increase my dividend yield. Looking at export data for first quarter and current currency rate, Liihen next qr is expected to be better than last year and maybe even for second quarter (quarter ending in June). Hopefully, there will be some good news coming along too. I am long term player and building my dividend machine.

If you refer to export statistics released for January and February, you can see the tremendous increase in export for timber products. Hence, i think it is reasonable to predict that their coming QR result must be very good. Besides, selling pressure due to strengthening of ringgit seem to have eased or done...

In a statement today, the Statistics Department said E&E product sales rose 8.9%. Oil palm and timber-based exports climbed 7.5% and 17.4% respectively.

Because of the price went up so fast, they should take the opportunity to split or issue bonus shares. You can see a lot of the companies are doing so except this company.
2016-03-22 17:45 | Report Abuse
If they improve the liquidity of this stock, it wont fall so fast.

16% of its market cap is cash. Huge chances to gain 10% dividend yield for this year.

MATRADE is doing so hard to help furniture industry in Malaysia. I guess there is alot of growth opportunities coming ahead. Not just riding the US housing recovery as well as TPPA. Well done MATRADE.

Haha. There is no need to even reply to those comments. Waste of time. Losers will stay as losers forever and they share a common characteristic, that is they will never learn. I believe your picks will still make money for this year but maybe less than last year. This year is such a volatile year for stock market. :-)

I think somewhere around june?
2016-02-27 20:22 | Report Abuse
With its healthy cash flow, I believe they should have no problem in distributing dividends for 2 years until TPPA come into the game.

Because they took profit. In few months time ahead it will sure go higher than current price.

Dear SS1967,
If quarter report is good, the share price will go up accordingly. It is just a matter of time which is an unknown.
