bsnpng, another stock that behaved in the same or almost the same manner - Inari. Ir was about 40 sen at the behinning of year. Now it's close to 1.40 ? Got logic ?

Ct, remember I told you about MJPerak, OCK and PTB. MJPerak moved up today but I didn't go in. I entered PTB and OCK instead !

Congrats hidden gem for the gains on MMode and Fibon. If you were to read my postings these two also belong to my favorites as I made a few rounds from them (for MMode one time lost on commission). However I did not follow them in the last 2 weeks as I moved on to to other counters. I was wrong both went up sharply today !

CT, like you say as long as there is money being made, the amount is immaterial. We cannot expect to get rich from the market, just generate some additional income.

bsnpng, I reckon when kcchongnz used FA to assess the value of the stock, I am sure he never expect the price to move so rapidly. As you know the stock market is so unpredictable and probably now the fund managers now only realized it's a hidden gem or probably something big is brewing. Probably kcchongnz is ready to clear as it is approaching close to its intrinsic value. Just my opinion.

CT, was in Genting Highlands in the morning, had lunch in Bukit Tinggi Village (fresh water fish) ! Instaco is my favorite for this year, made the most money.

CT, remember I mentioned MJ Perak on 25th Oct when it was 46.5 sen. Now it's 50 sen with high volume. However I didn't go in. As for Konsort, so disappointing !

jennylee1382, as the company is new, I reckon using FA may not be applicable (kcchongnz, correct me if I am wrong). As for TA it all depends when big volume comes in. As I mentioned I do not depend on TA and FA. If I feel it's time to take profits I just sell. In this case I would be contented to clear at 33 sen and above.

bsnpng, I am not sure about that but to me I am against excessive speculation. To me stock and property are tow separate issues altogether in that :-
1) when you play stocks with others, both parties know of their stand - either make or lose and play according to theri means
2) in property, those with say 50 K can afford to buy properties costing 500 K. Just by paying 50 K, profits can be as high as 100 K to 200 K before or upon completion (of course depending on location). The prices keep going up until it reaches a stage where, like I say, beyond the reach of a large segment of people. Thus I feel it is not right to deprive these people a roof over their heads.
This is just my opinion. Of course this is a free market and everyone is entitled to make his money as long as it is legal.

MichaelTeo, allow me to comment. Both of us have been in the market for many years and if you may recall, the trading commission rate was as high as 1.0% for retailers like us. However with the introduction of computers and online trading, it has now come down to as low as 0.1%. On the other hand, the clearing fees and stamp duty do not follow suit.

bsnpng, I would go for
i) 70% maximum loan for the 2nd house.
ii) 40% maximum loan for the 3rd house.
iii) 25% maximum loan for 4th house. If you can buy many houses, pay more by yourself lol.
iv) 50% RPGT if your profit is >7% per year within the first 5 years
v) 60% RPGT if profits exceed 10% per year within the first 5 years

bsnpng, it's timely that measures are being implemented to curb speculation in property as house prices are just too high which is beyond the reach of young people. Just imagine even people though earning RM 5,000 a month finds it difficult to own a house costing say about RM 400,000 which is considered the lower-end price in the Klang Valley nowadays.

scott, you should learn not to regret as selling is the most difficult part in stock trading. As long as you made profits be contented. You are now saying it on hindsight. What if the price dropped after you have sold ? Just for your information , in my earlier years of trading there were numerous occasions where after I have sold off a stock, it went limit up. Just have to learn to accept this fact. Happy trading !

jennylwee1382, if you have bought at 28.5 sen after ex-warrant (which means you are not entitled to the free warrants were given on a one for 2 basis) it should be a safe entry point as it's lowest after ex-warrant date is 27.5 sen and highest 31 sen. Mine is at 28.8 sen. Given that the company's 1st two quarter results are reasonably good and have growth prospects, the chances of making profits from this counter is higher than losing under normal market trading conditions. This is just my opinion gained from experience - no FA and TA involved. Anyway this is a new company who has taken over from the previously named I-Power and one cannot judge the past results. When the volume comes in (as it is also speculative), probably you have to seek the advice of Trustme932 or CT to read the charts.

bsngpg, previously I had the same thinking as you when it comes to Taiwanese stocks but actually they are definitely better managed and more transparent than Chinese counters, only thing is that they are only very thinly traded. The other two prominent stocks are Tong Herr and CSC Steel where the companies have abundant cash and reserves and consisitently paying dividends. KCChongnz, if you don't mind perhaps you can give us your views on these 2 stocks I mentioned and whether you would consider investing in them based on FA.

jenny, for your information I am holding some Instaco also at an average price price of 28.8 sen (bought after ex-warrant). I made some gains earlier (before ex-warrant) where my average purchased price was 36.6 sen (bought from 43 sen all the way down to 32 sen) and sold at an average of 41 sen. As I said, barring any unforeseen major circumstances, the entry price of 28.5 sen should be safe as the upside gains far outweighs the downside losses. Just my opinion.

Jenny123, buying Instaco at 28.5 sen is a rather safe entry as its lowest (after ex-warrant) is 27.5 sen. In my opinion this counter, though having dome growth prospects is also quite speculative. If it goes up in the short term perhaps you can take the opportunity to clear. Ultimately you have to make your own decision. But then again you can always ask TM932 or CT to look at the charts !

androsjy, on Konsort it is not up us to predict what price it can go up as it depends on a lot of factors and a lot of people. Hopefully it's good. Like Focal, the offer price is 1.40 but it shot up to about 2.50 after the announcement.

angtf, sorry just came back. Normally the company being taken over should be able to fetch a higher than it's current price in the market. It also depends on the NTA and other factors. Like Focal is offered at 1.40 but it shot up to about the 2.50 level. It also depends on whether itwill be "goreng" or bot. Having said that konsort is only having a NTA at 80 sen.
