Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) shares are performing poorly because the company suffers from a perception problem among investors. Its CEO Datuk Zakaria Arshad says the slumping share price is due mainly to misperception and politics rather than flaws in the company’s fundamentals.

“I think another main reason is bad market sentiment. The equity market is also going through a slump. The other thing is that people always get FGV mixed up with other entities that are not related to FGV,” Zakaria tells FocusM.

Although he does not explicitly mention the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda), he is clearly alluding to FGV’s parent company which has a controlling stake of 34%.

Zakaria boldly asserts that FGV’s share price is undervalued by as much as RM2. “To me, it (the share price) has to be above RM3. At RM1.80-1.85, it is definitely undervalued. That is just my opinion.

So IW City chase because of China money "coming in"? Ask Xinquan, CSL, Msports, etc shareholders whether easy to get China money. China ctrs money can see(inside books) but easy "to touch"?

Sometime funny thing happen in stock market. Why during IPO; funds like EPF, KWAP, Tabung Haji and PNB willing to buy even at RM 4.55 now RM 1.83 they don't want? What different FGV now vs 5 years ago? Perhaps more lands but reduce old trees?

Lately there is euphoria in JB property counters eg IW City, D Bhd, KSL, etc. FGV is one of biggest land owners in M'sia with 431K hectares land in M'sia and Indonesia.

A check on 2015 AR FGV own 33,912 hectares land in Johor. If revaluation done with IW City land price as comparison how much it should worth?

How much is IW City unbilled sales? If got land no buyer what's the point?

Spillover from IW City? IW City loss making company can move so high why not Trop? Trop also has land in JB, KL as well. Beside that Penang, Sabah and many places also got land. NTA RM 2.19 still cheap now.

Finally moving. Unbilled sales-RM 900 million vs market cap RM 250 million only.
