Thanks for the clarification on the value off AAC in term of AA share price. That is true, but that is to be expected because AAC is not the core business. Most valuation by IBs, analysts will give more weight to the the core business.

Furthermore AAC main leasing customers are back to the AA group/affiliates. Some investors take it the AAC revenue is just going round the group instead of fresh/new revenue stream.

But back to the reason why TF would want to dispose AAC first among the many investment assets of the group; probably he will never tell truthfully.

Is it because the leasing business now getting very attractive where tycoons like Li Ka Shing etc entering into and he expect to get a good sale value while is still a 'hot' item?, or is it because among other assets like Tune Insurance, AAX, Aviation Academy, AAC is the best choice to be divested 1st?

Debt financing in USD of course will have negative impact if weaker ringgit against USD and the revenue source is in Ringgit. But AA as a group the revenue source is not limited to Ringgit only.

In conclusion you need to take the overall picture as I said before the group's income vs expenses is beyond Ringgit and USD base only.

When weaker ringgit also translate higher tourists flying into m'sia.

Again I see a lot ppl over concern on the weaker ringgit / FX and increase in jet fuel price.

I also mentioned before, because AA group business including incomes in foreign currencies hence weak ringgit vs USD is not a direct 4.2++:1 hit effects

AA comparison is a general broad 1 to 1 comparison (jet fuel price vs FX). But when you take the the big picture for FX effects on all AA operations e.g. int. loan, fuel cost, operation cost, vs sales of tickets, ancillary income in different currencies, hedging etc. the overall effects will not be the same as just taking for example RM7 to 1USD alone as factor for AA survival.

I don't think TF meant in the context like what you said .......market does not put any value in AAC, so he sells it. Finally he realised that.

Actually AAC is a very valuable asset below AAX and the group wanted to sell AAC to unlock the value and use it for the group balance sheet.

Eventually the group will sell all its investment assets including AAX, Tune Insurance, Aviation Training JV because these are investment assets to generate cash flow and can be monetized by selling it off. That is actually TF's big plan.

Not to assume insider trading practice etc, TF would probably the best person to know what the AA group values and potentials are. But having said that, market sentiments, analyst hype, error reporting, world events like Brexit, oil price, currency xchange all can play havoc to the price so TF also like us, has no working 'crystal ball'

btw, foreign fund may deem, m'sial less attractive for investment not just base on weak ringgit. The recent higher poor governance policy perception, less transparency, corruptions all play crucial part. Actually if FF can or have confidence to predict when ringgit is at the bottom already, is actually make sense to bring in the fund because, when ringgit stabilize n going up, stock price tend to go up as well. So when FF cash out, with ringgit stronger is a bonus to FF......

PP can be good, bad, or neutral depending on the circumstances of the company at the time for the PP. It is not just the disadvantage of dilution of shares per se. PP for AA can be seen as to inject capital for expansion or pair down debt for some ppl look at it as positive moves.
