Anyone knows from latest QR, how to segregate Silterra portions?
2021-09-27 17:26 | Report Abuse
Company will be planning to raise more cash for the next phase capacity expansion.
A few options available, private placement, warrants issue or rights issue

Yeah agreed.
This counter is a good dividend yield stocks.
Not suitable for others who are looking capital growth.
If you are comparing genetec, MPI, SAM, frontken,Vitrox, etc, you are at the wrong forum.

Noted.
I have added more ASML instead.

I believe EV using less than 16NM is limited as it's very expensive and the quantity may be less than 10mil unit per annum since world car sales is only at 52 mil per annum.
Smartphones shipped in are more than 1.0 bil per annum
More profitable to increase capacity for smartphone biz than EV

"The Chinese Yuan will soon replace the US dollar as the world’s currency"
I doubt so.
Why write something so childish.
Can't even make it even 5% of the global reserve currency.
Try over throne GBP and JPY first.

Give the share price time to normalise.

Coal price rallied from USD46 to USD166 in last 1 year.
Not sure if this has impact on their profitability.
Unless, the coal supply agreement honors a fixed price regardless of market price.

Q4 results quite dissapointing
Q3 results also. Seems peak earning in Q2.
According to Q4 report, Group encountered logistical challenges for certain semiconductor equipment due to the nationwide Movement Control Order 3.0 (“MCO 3.0”) effective from 12 May 2021. Also, the Group
was only allowed to operate at 60% capacity until 6 July 2021. MCO 3.0 was further extended where the Group was allowed to operate at 80% capacity from 7 July 2021 to 19 August 2021.

@Starship2
Based on Supermax's planning capacity by end 2022 would be 48 billion.
Based on Hartalega's CEO ASP assumption at USD35 post pandemic with the 48 billion, would yield approximately EPS of 0.625.
Unlikely to go lower than that as, capacity planning would increase annually and would annual ASP growth as well.

A 30% drop in ASP is quite significant.
The CEO mentioned 'expected', means forecast?

page 15 of the quarter report under Investment Holding & Others.
Revenue for investment holding and other segments comprise mainly interest income from the deposit of funds, trading of
building materials and gloves. The decrease in operating profit was mainly due to pre-operating losses incurred for gloves

Thanks for the details.
Looks like Genetec is into providing assembly line +equipment for EV and battery.
Then means this company wouldn't be that attractive as compared with EV manufacturers or EV battery manufacturers.
It reminds me of glove manufacturers like Harta, Topglove, Supermax vs assembly line providers like HLT Global, AT Systemization

No one can tell the future price unless you are god.
Look at whether the biz can earn money first.
Khazanah owning it for decades can't turn it around, let's see if DNEX can do it.
I would say in 1 year time is time to look at the report card whether worth to continue holding DNEX.

Interesting about Frontken's recent quarter result as compared to the full utilisation of TSMC capacity.
I believe TSMC outsourced the precision cleaning services to others like Frontken as well. From google search there is approximately a dozens of company with similar skill sets globally which at least half comes from Taiwan.

Inari's factory in Kunshan is only 4,650 sqm so the capacity for production is also very limited.
Compared that with Msia's + Philippines total factory size 111,722 sqm.
In other words, China size and capacity to production is only 4%.
You may refer to latest annual report pg.221 + 222 for these details
