Genting Bhd, mother, has so much excess cash reserves, that they now know where to put. Slowly buy back GenM shares to a point, where they can privatise and reap future dividends ALL to the mother, since the market is not able to value its full potential, then later..relist it fro another round of handsome profit

Past example, magnum, astro or is ti maxis ?, the coming QSR ( previously KFC)

Mother Genting Bhd, has been steadily buying it back from 4.9, and not stopping if you check the record. Friday sudden push up, before the huge drop today is to allow certain funds or individual to exit, so not to tangle up or cause inconvenient with the pending privatisation exercise.
I have seen the same pattern with previous magnum, KFC..etc.

So the million dollar question is what price are they going to take it private that you should worry, my guess would be RM4.1 to 4.2, they would give some premium to the fair value given by IB. RM4.5 if they want to appear very generous and reward shareholders

They have invested such huge sums in the resort now, and all the upcoming returns and dividends, they are not going to share with the public...so this tax hit thing is one opportunity for them to press down the price and do a cheap privatisation...haha what better time to do then NOW where the price is do depressed

Do not pissed off the funds managers or the govt that control the funds like EPF, otherwise supermax despite a good co. with fundamentals and good potential, will only remain UNDERvalued for a long time. That why it has the lowest PE amongst its peers

Unless you have long long holding power, to wait until one day some funds decide to promote it, but highly doubtful as the funds magmt is a small circle, and in the near term no funds will come close to this counter as Stanley and dotter have a reputation of pissing off funds managers, and they are well known for it now. What a waste ...PR and investor relationship wise..they screwed up big time
