TSH share price has been heading south for the past one month even with daily purchase of 500,000 shares by a Director. The situation is really bad.

UlaeSawa the Big Python, no one wants you to reply his comment. The problem with you is you are unable to tolerate the slightest negative comments about TG or its directors, especially your respected Ah Chai.

Keck Seng failed to pay any dividend in 2020 and 2021. This year it paid 5 sen a share dividends in April and July. The company normally pays an interim dividend of around 4 sen a share in November of the year. Looks very likely that it is not paying this year.

You shouldn't waste your time responding to comments posted by AmySee, LZCY2020 and me. Of course we are not in the same level. Go and write to the two Investment Banks which recently had issued buy call for MRCB, one at 44 sen, the other at 46sen questioning their recommendations.

@lawrence86, shares everywhere are dropping. It is a worldwide phenomenon but you only notice that MRCB is falling.

Maybank has performed extremely well over the past 32 months, viz since the beginning of 2020. It was trading at around RM8.60 then. Investors who had bought Maybank at around RM8.60 and remain invested would have received in total dividends amounting to RM1.49 a share, not including the 28 sen a share dividend to be paid on 19 October.
The return on investments is thus around 20%. The KLCI dropped by about 125 points from 1530 points to 1405 points or about 8%. Maybank has thus overperformed the KLCI by almost 30%. Syabas Maybank!

With 1000 shares, you can only subscribe for 10 DRP shares. Suppose you can make 50 sen per share, the amount you can make from this DRP is only RM5. Stamp duty alone would cost you RM10, other charges = RM3.

Assuming one has 10,000 Maybank shares. The amount he could reinvest is RM700.00. At an issue price of RM8.38 per share, his allotment is thus 700/8.38 or only 83 shares.

@Ularsawa, Top Glove's weightage in KLCI today is very small but it was over 6% two years ago. Remember it was the company with the second biggest market capitalization listed on Bursa after Maybank? Everyone thought it might overtake Maybank to become the company with the largest market capitalization listed on Bursa. You ought to be very excited then.

Top Glove never traded above RM30 a share before the 2 for 1 bonus. After the 2 for 1 bonus, the highest price reached was around RM9. So it has tumbled by over 90% from its peak. This is extremely bad for a KLCI Index component counter, maybe the worst in history.

At the peak of the pandemic and before any vaccine was made available, demand for gloves skyrocketed and prices jumped to the sky. Existing players expanded their capacities and new players jumped into the fray. As conditions began to improve with the roll out of vaccination, demand started to drop and glove price dropped. Whom to blame for the overcapacity and price slump now?

Hope it can go up to RM8.86 again by this weekend. Another 12sen to go.

RHB isn't doing as well as Maybank lately likely because the big boys want to keep its share price low so that they can get more DRP shares.

I thought higher interest rates should benefit banks. It should touch RM9 instead.

Knowing the attitude and the mentality of its directors, investors will likely be paid an interim dividend of 4 sen again this year.

At RM8.60 a share, Maybank is trading close to its early 2020 levels. Investors who had bought Maybank then and remain invested until today had already received dividends totaling 149sen a share. Those who continued to buy as it dipped towards RM7 during the final quarter of 2020 would have made more.

MRCB has borrowings which exceed RM2 billion. Interest rates increases are bad for the company.

Can't go very wrong buying Maybank, especially during crisis time.

@alenac, I only trust something that has been reported to Bursa rather than something that I heard on the grapevine.

Maybank held up very well today despite catastrophic falls on Wall Street. The last time it traded ex-dividend on 16 March, its share price went up by 12 sen. Hopefully this feat is repeated on 19 Sept.

DBS share price is over $33.50 or almost RM110.00 a share, more than 10X Maybank.
