I also called up the Registrar to check and someone there confirmed that the rights shares were also entitled to the 2 sen dividend. I am still not convinced unless the Registrar comes out officially with a clarification. Nevertheless, I will be subscribing for all my entitled rights shares.

Guys, never assume that the rights shares are also entitled to the 2 sen per share special dividend. You would be disappointed. Please read L&G's announcement yesterday. The Entitlement Description says "Special single tier dividend of 2 sen per ordinary share". Where did it say rights shares?

Don't ever dream that the company would pay dividend for the rights shares you have just subscribed. The company has net cash in excess of RM400 million, yet the Directors are unwilling to make use of the company's available funds but instead call for funds which would increase its paid up capital by 160%. Read the article dated 26/3 if you understand Chinese to know the Directors' intentions.

Just wait for the company to send the relevant application forms to you. If you are still in doubt, immediately contact your remisier.

Several weeks ago, the company had declared a special interim dividend of 2 sen per ordinary share in respect of financial year ending 31 March 2017. The company has yet to announce the entitlement and payment dates.

Dividend would be announced only after the AGM to be held later this month.

Syndicates are playing many counters, including this one. Better to tread carefully and don't be too greedy.

Keep Keck Seng for 5 years, 10 years or even 20 years, for as long as you need to. JB's population is increasing rapidly and land, which is scarce and valuable in JB is needed for housing. Of course don't put all your eggs in one basket, may be 10 to 20% of your portfolio.

Very unlikely that Keck Seng's ultra conservative directors will declare a final dividend of over 6 sen a share.

An investor who buys 20,000 L&G shares @ 32.5 sen per share will be entitled to subscribe for 36,000 rights shares at 21 sen each. The 20,000 shares cost RM 6,500 but the 36,000 rights shares will cost him an additional RM 6,720. No wonder people aren't buying this counter. Those who already have L&G shares are also paring down. Investors aren't interested at all in the 2 sen special interim dividend.

Very confident of this counter going up further next week.

Rally only lasted several hours, what a pity. For those who had sold at 35 sen, time to buy back and wait for the next one. For others who had bought at 35 sen, too bad, just wait.
