Q333 - So many stories of KYY - sometimes talk sense. Most of time - super sale discount his advice. It’s like comparing durian and mangoes - rubberex is household industrial; comfort is medical surgical. KYY has many followers. Just don’t follow like pied piper to Holland.

the story of Serba is one between investors and amatuers......

for investors, no problem with Serba,

as for serba and its $8 billion contract in UAE, some like it hot, some like it cold........and selling of warrants........that is very natural and very normal,

As for Kpower and SCIB..........no problem one............the market rotation is coming to small caps and speculative shares ..........starting yesterday......the story is not longer Gloves only game in town.........Now, the over riding story is beaten down stocks are first to go up.........Pos is having good recovery........I bot POS..........

But having good character is not easy to find with fund manager. The Bufalo man is a rare one in the industry.

Mostly, fund managers have teflon characters...of course Bernie Madoff is the other extreme., but actually very common.

Briefly, according to Peter Lynch, a critical factor in share investment is to understand the story of the company. For example, Mr. Chong mentioned about FAVCO last time, and I said must understand despite FAVCO is a good company, FAVCO is facing intense competition from the Chinese SOE.

On the other hand, Warren Buffett talks about economics of an industry. For example, trend (is it a sunset industry or growing one) , structures (no. of players in the industry), etc.

Lastly, TA can give you a sense of timing.

truth be told..............I think value investing, value investors is likely to suffer the most damage in this environment........

so called value investing will point you to value traps and the share keep dropping and dropping.

to have at least a good chance at success, follow Philips methodology and Philips mentality, its a very matured approach.

Indonesia has handled it very well..........I like how Sweden has handled it...At the other extreme, China has handled it very well.


All 3 seems to know their own situations and did their best.


It seems the more democratic a country..........the less clarity they have handled it....Surely a case of too many cooks spoil the soup.
