GENTING Bhd (the parent company) is the central management (HQ) that controls all the businesses of its subsidiary companies (including Genting Malaysia & Genting Singapore).

Anything bad such as the sin tax will affect GenM directly but also affect GENTING Bhd indirectly. Anything good such as the completion of the Theme Park will benefit GenM directly and also indirectly benefit GENTING Bhd (the parent company that owns 49% of GenM).

GenM operates the casino (got sin tax) as well as hotels & the Theme Park but GENTING has 49% share of GenM.

@Penang123: I think u should not do anything..... don't sell now, don't subscribe the RI, & don't sell after the RI (even when price drop to 25 sen), also don't buy anymore. Your best hope is for the company to:

1. Reduce its debt after the RI & after completing the OMV deal.

2. Show improving QR in 2019 (possibly start making profits).

The price could eventually move up a bit (but definitely it may not go up to 60 sen). Then u can decide to sell later at whatever price u feel comfortable. It may take a few months to more than a year.... but if number 1 & 2 don't happen then no hope lor (just hope number 1 & 2 will happen ASAP).

Sharks can press it down to 26 sen b4 the RI ex-date. Then what will happen to the RI? Who will subscribe?

If they sapu all balance shares, the RM2 billion goes to people who sold their shares... it does not go to the company. The company needs capital injection to carry on its business.... only achievable through RI or private placement (the money goes into the company).

If the price drop to 30 sen or lower, they may just cancel the RI, then PNB, KWAP, Sharil & the other major shareholders can pump in RM3 billion through private placement instead of RI.

@stockbullz: Y don't u call your broker & ask him? Normally my broker called me & I just confirm over the phone, then my broker will do the payment & deduct from my current account automatically. In your case, u may want to check with your broker how it is done.

@Penang123: Either your broker will contact u about your RI subscription or u contact your broker.... then u can tell your broker that u want to sell your RI. If I am not wrong, then your RI will become OR which u can sell readily online (or by giving instruction to your broker to sell).

Never believe anyone who claims to know the price will go down to 50 sen, 30 sen or go up to RM1.00; nobody can really know.... no matter what method of analysis they use. Do your own analysis & take your own risk.

Just to give u all some perspective about what to expect from this counter.

It won't be delisted because it won't be PN17 and it won't be privatized.

With its around RM15 billion annual revenue as a going concern it does not meet the requirement of PN17.

The PH government & Felda do not have the money to privatize it. In order to privatize it, they must take over FGV at its latest enterprise value of RM12.8 billion (i.e. the market capitalization of RM2.4 billion plus its net debt of RM10.4 billion).

The most likely thing FGV's management will do is to make cash call (rights issue) which they have indicated they will do in the near future.

FGV's current price drop behavior is very similar to SAPNRG 1 year ago around the same time in Dec 2017 which dropped from RM1.20 to 66.5 sen. FGV's current closing price at 69 sen is very close to SAPNRG's bottom price of 66.5 sen in Dec 2017. So we can expect what will happen from now to the first week of Jan 2019.

Yes, CIMB is only good for very long term investment.... its volatility is too little for trading unless u buy at very low price (like below RM5.50).

Hehehe.... DJIA did not rebound (still in correction).... US market now closed for Thanksgiving holidays & today is Black Friday. CIMB is still at RM5.63 on very thin volume & only 26% transaction buy.

I'm waiting to buy below RM5.50 (previous support).... currently, the support has dropped to RM5.41 (somewhere between RM5.41 & RM5.50 should b a safe entry).

We r talking about the present & future; it is pointless to bring out share prices that r a few years ago.

That RM200 million interest payment & the boss' RM72 million pay can be deducted from the the current RM0.9 billion cash/bank balances of SAPNRG..... they will not affect the RM7.2 billion new cash.

Let's look at things objectively. The RI will bring in about RM4 billion cash & the OMV JV will bring in another RM3.2 billion cash .... a total of RM7.2 billion cash.

There are now about 6 billion outstanding shares; after RI, there will b an additional 10 billion new shares..... a total of 16 billion shares.

If u divide the RM7.2 billion cash by the 16 billion shares, u get RM0.45 cash per share. This RM0.45 is solid cash per share & not counting the other assets of SAPNRG.

When u buy SAPNRG now at RM0.355 per share, u r going to get RM0.45 of cash per share. So, even if u r not going to subscribe the RI at additional RM0.30 it is still worth buying now.

I may have overlook other things & I'm willing to b corrected (if I am wrong).... but the above calculations show that we r getting more than what we r paying now.

It's P/E ratio is actually above 10, i.e. 11.08; FA wise it is a profitable company & financially stable but if compare its FA with the 30 strongest company in Bursa (i.e. the components of KLCI) it may not perform as well as the KLCI. The market rate of return (based on the KLCI) is -5.4% (negative) for the past 3 months..... hence, investment wise we can't expect CIMB to perform better than the market unless we buy when the price has fallen to the lowest bottom already & has stopped falling.

U were right..... it closed at RM5.50 but since this support was broken when the price fell to as low as RM5.41, tomorrow it will tend to continue falling toward the RM5.21 support.

RM5.50 support broken! Next support at RM5.21 (may b broken too..... market sentiment very bad).

Closing price is at Support 1 (RM5.57) which can b considered being held up firmly today. If the RM5.57 support is broken next week, then Support 2 is at RM5.50 (may buy some more around that price but hope it won't go lower than RM5.50.... otherwise have to cut loss).
