Sorry, the Yeoh family kept buying up shares when the price was below 95 sen (not below 90 sen).

I already anticipated the Yeoh family & YTL Corp's strategy more than a month ago after analysing the company's financial statements. They started with Yeoh family's buying up shares at the lowest price to increase their shareholding % in YTL & then they use YTL Corp's cash to push up the share price to RM 1.02 (this will continue further until the price go up much higher). In this way, the Yeoh family instantly made hundreds of millions paper profit from their earlier buying up of shares at very low prices. At first, it seemed like the Yeoh family trying to prop up YTL's share price to prevent it from falling lower but actually they already planned to use YTL's cash to push up the price later on. They have this insider knowledge, that's y they kept buying up YTL's shares when the price was below 90 sen. They knew that they will make hundreds of millions in paper profit as well as strengthening their hold on YTL.

I didn't sell any shares. I'm waiting for RM 1.20 (hope price will up some more).

Wah!! Last 10 minutes suddenly jumped up to RM 1.02 !!! Great!!

EPF disposed 17.4 million shares on 31 May, but the price moved up 2 sen from 0.930 to close at 0.950 on that day. EPF may have miscalculated in some ways (they r not always right).

Today's price range will be between 0.960 and 1.05 (based on probability calculation).

The price of YTL was flat (no up & no down) for the past few trading days.... but today & next few days we may see the price move up significantly by a few cents.

If everyday can up 1 sen or 2 sen like yesterday & today then very soon it can reach RM1.10.

Up 1 sen better than down.... WD40 predicted that YTL will crash to RM0.78. Where is WD40!? Where is that crash bcoz of cancel HSR? WD40 is expert in feng-shui & pang pang theory.

Closed at 0.950 (2 sen higher than yesterday) and the volume transacted (148.4 million vs yesterday's 92 million) almost double the volume of yesterday. This is a good signal.

BTW, the Yeoh family bought up 22 million shares today as usual (a tiny portion of the 148.4 million transacted today).

Institutional traders have been using Regulated Short Selling (RSS) since 2007. IDSS (Intra-Day Short Selling) for retail traders just started in April 2018.

@ steven_c: u r referring to IDSS (Intra-day Short Selling) for retail traders but the real Short Selling has been legal & going on for many years already in Malaysia.

Thanks propsushi for your reasoning on short selling. I was wondering why they transferred 154 million shares a few days ago.... I never thought of it for short selling purpose. I think I can agree with u on this.... it must b for short selling purpose.

Short selling has been going on legally in Malaysia for many years already (only for institutional traders), not to be confused with IDSS recently available for retail traders.

The Yeoh family also taking the opportunity to increase their shareholding from 50% to 60%. What better time to do so than now? price is so cheap....

Sapura's RSI is now 43.6% (not yet oversold). If it is below 30% then it may be oversold. Of course we hope there will be a rebound tomorrow but there is still the probability that the price may go down a little (since it is not yet oversold).

Tomorrow the price may close at either 0.555 or 0.560 (based on probability calculation). Again, this is only probability.... not 100% sure.

This was Bursa Malaysia's comment at market close today:

"The KLCI closed lower at 1719.28 points amid overnight retreat in US market. The performance of our local bourse was bogged due to bad sentiment provoked by uncertainty over Italian’s elections."

When I checked World News, I found that the whole world stock market tumbled a few percent especially those in the Eurozone. Singapore stock market also dropped 2%. Ours (KLCI) dropped 3.18%. Within our stock market 995 counters closed red, not just YTL & a handful of other counters.

So, those people who keep blaming PH for dropping HSR or Francis Yeoh (for whatever reason) may be overdoing it. We have to look at the big picture. Give PH time to manage our country's finances & have confidence in YTL's management team (give them time to adjust their business strategies).

So, my prediction yesterday that it will drop to 0.595 (according to probability calculation) was correct. I think it will stay around there for today.

@ I3ryan: B4 this recent huge accumulation, the Yeoh family controls about 50% of YTL (I was wrong previously for assuming they control 70%). Now, after the past few days of huge accumulation, the Yeoh family is controlling slightly more than 52% of YTL. Looks like they r taking the opportunity to push up their controlling stake in YTL.

Those people who panic sell r selling at huge losses.... even EPF also not selling during the past few days. The last time EPF only sold 218k (0.2 million) shares on 23 May. EPF is very smart one... if want to sell must follow EPF's example.

FYI, the trading volume of YTL on Monday (28 May) was 25 million shares..... the Yeoh family bought up 22 million shares. I think today the same thing will happen again, maybe they will buy up even more since it is cheaper today.

I hope it will not turn out according to probability calculation. Anyway, probability is only probability... it is not 100% sure to happen.

@WD40: I was just answering Banana John's question. The word "revenue" is an accounting term. In accounting, u can only record something as "revenue" after u have already received the money... if u haven't receive any money then the revenue is zero. As simple as that... no need to use Jib or customer example.

@WD40: We will just wait & see on Wednesday if your prediction that the price will crash to RM0.78 is true or not. This morning b4 the market open u said it will crash to RM0.78 but instead, it went up to RM1.02. I will give your prediction a few more days (now that the HSR cancellation is confirmed). This will be interesting to watch.

2 years ago, when Air Asia was having financial problem bcoz of Air Asia Indonesia (AAI) having too much debt, Air Asia's share price dropped to 70 sen. Tony Fernandez & his partner injected RM1 billion additional capital into AAI. Now, in YTL's case, the Yeoh family has so far bought up 44 million YTL's shares (less than RM44 million) from May 21 to 25. I believe the Yeoh family has so much more money than Tony Fernandez. They can definitely buy up more than 1 billion YTL's shares. If that is not enough, they can authorize the company to buy back shares (the company has RM11 billion in fixed deposits). So, the short sellers will have to go against the Yeoh family's huge war chest of cash (up to several billion RM).

@Banana John: The HSR project not yet bring any revenue to YTL at all (it is suppose to start construction only in 2020 but now it is confirm cancelled). So we can say in terms of revenue to YTL, the HSR project is nil (zero revenue).... that is how big it is to YTL. Technically, the cancellation of the HSR project has no financial impact to YTL but speculators will want to take the opportunity to bring down its share price by short selling on bad news.

Dropping the ECRL & HSR can help reduce Malaysia's debt by as much as RM200 billion... this is good for our country & good for us. That does not mean we have to lose money in our investments in stocks such as YTL or other counters. Let the politicians do the negotiating... I only focus on making money in the stock market.

Even negotiating with Singapore about dropping the HSR will take a few months.... so YTL can continue up 1 or 2 sen everyday till the HSR is actually cancelled.

Let PH take their own sweet time to decide (I read that the HSR project is suppose to begin construction only in 2020... so they have more than 1 year to decide).... while they take their time to decide, YTL's price can up 1 or 2 sen everyday.

Just watch price movement, no need to panic... keep cool.

If u want to average down, don't buy every time it drop 1 or 2 sen.... buy only when it drop 4 sen to 6 sen so that u can save a lot of bullets when the price go down to 50 sen or lower.

Bought some at 0.655 .... see how it goes later.

ProRoy incurred huge losses investing in SUMATEC b4 GE14 and then switched to SAPNRG after GE14 when the price already shot up to 80 sen.... now the price of SAPNRG dropped to 69.5 sen after he invested, he start to blame PH & LGE for his losses in SAPNRG. We can't blame ProRoy for always making negative comments, we have to try to understand his losses.... but I hope he will understand y he lost money in stock market all the time.
