I think what u think u can do is to buy OR at 7 sen + 10 sen (new share) = 17 sen and then sell for profit at 20 sen on 2 Nov? By the way, 2 Nov is last day to make pymt. The new shares will only be listed on 17 Nov. So from now till 17 Nov, anything can happen to mother share price.

mcmann, 2 Nov is like any other trading day for BORNOIL, opening price will be whatever it was at closing on 30 Oct. U keep referring to OR price when that do not have any bearing on mother share price.

Like I've said OR will stop trading this Friday (23/10), i.e. on Monday (26/10) it'll be suspended. If u bought, u'll need to prepare pymt and ensure it reaches the registrar latest by 2 Nov.

Adoi...no one can tell the future la. OR seems to be trading at discount and that may indicate mkt expecting mother share price to dip after rights listing and rightly so coz there'll be add'l 2.3b shares. Sure will be some selling.

The future is always an unknown. We can only make educated assumptions.

U will still get the warrants if u buy OR during this week. In fact, buying OR now is considered "cheaper" than buying the mother share now. OR is last done at 7.5 sen + 10 sen = 17.5 sen whereas mother share last done is 19 sen. Furthermore, buying OR you get warrant. More value to buy OR.

Based on tue closing price of 19.5 sen, if OR was listed then, it shd be at least 9.5 sen. Why? Cost of a new BORNOIL share is 10 sen + cost of an BORNOIL-OR could be 9.5 sen (depending on mkt) = 19.5 sen (Tue closing price or whatever price it is trading). In other words, OR price will always track mother share price closely.

aiyo...as if all holders of the 2.3b shares will wanna dump all at once...pls la be logical.

U may not necessarily lose if u don't subs for the Rights so long u sell your OR and u bought lower than 60 sen before ex-.

Just noticed that MACD just turned positive...RSI has also rebounded to 50% from oversold positions. This means there is a chance it might be turning the corner. But until and unless SMA20 crosses SMA50 convincingly, it may also mean this is a bear trap.

Yes RSI and MACD all positive. Left price hvnt gone pass SMA20 & SMA50. Nevertheless, I hv bought in more today ;-). This is not a buy call and Pls don't follow blindly.

Will do. Most of the time, share price (TA) moves in tandem with FA. There are times when share price moves against good FA, i.e. crisis. That's when TA will be useful because u wouldn't want ur capital to be stuck in a stock on a downtrend no matter how good the FA is.

No, am not using chart to predict movement. I don't know how to do that even if it's possible. Only using it to look at the trend. It is very obvious the counter is on a 9 mth downtrend. Uptrend will become more obvious once the shorter period crosses a longer period SMA.

depika, when I said SMA20 must cross SMA50 I don't mean the share price crossing 34 sen....if u open SMRT chart, plot SMA20 & SMA50...u will see 2 lines on almost parallel to each other on a downtrend. The SMA20 line will need to cross SMA50 to confirm an uptrend...and that will only happen when the price goes up significantly.

Depika, SMA is a moving avg. It is not peg to a price. SMA20 means the avg price for past 20 days for a particular day.

Their existing contract ending on 30 Sep. So I guess latest will be end of the year. Past renewal came in Dec.

Buying now would mean u hv bought lower than BV. ;-)

TA wise, SMA20 will need to cross above SMA50 before we can confirm that is the bottom and the start of an uptrend. Otherwise, it is just another bear trap.

FA wise, it will take some time to show if their AEGB plan materializes. However, if SMRT clinches a contract extension of ELT/pro-ELT then it will be a short-term boost to the share price.

Correction....AEGB has 33.8 shares in treasury...

1) SMRT own 23% of AEGB = 376.1m * 0.23 = 86.5 m
2) AEGB 14 Jul div for SMRT= 86.5m *0.05 = 4.325m
3) 23% of AEGB 200mil Disposable asset = 200mil *0.23 = 46 mil
4) SMRT is sitting on (2)+(3) = 50+ mil
5) SMRT is paying 51.9 mil for AEGB 23% stake, effectively SMRT is getting AEGB 23% stake for
free.

In the latest annual report. The holdings are as of 30/4/2015. So, he is still in it and flying under the radar.

It's interesting to know that Brahmal still hold about 4.6m shares and 5.1m warrants in SMRT.

On paper, IFCA's plans seem pretty and impressive but I would be more convinced if the next 2-3 qtr results are as good as 1Q2015 or better. Anyway, I'll enjoy the wave for now ;-).
