They r only "giving up" 35% of their company's earnings, while maintain the bulk of it. If they truly believe in their company, then they will also be able to ride the share price of instacom.

Looking at Kenanga's peer comparison chart for KSL, its forecasted profits for FY14 is closest to Mah Sing. Yet Mah Sing's mkt cap is 2x that of KSL. So, KSL can potentially go beyond Kenanga's TP.

True but at least it will increase the stock's liquidity because it has quite a low share base of only 390M. Not to mention, every sen gained (post-bonus) gains more in terms of %.

@hng33, so I guess we can safely assume that Puncak is going to get the RM1.55B cash? Shdn't be anymore confusion abt it right? I'm just surprised that ppl sold Puncak. I think they got confused with a "lower" total offer.

Khalid staves off opponents, finalises water deal


Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim today finalised the state’s water restructuring deal with Putrajaya, staving off attempts to abort the plan by any incoming Pakatan Rakyat leader who will be succeeding him.

The deal has proven controversial as Khalid has been accused of keeping Pakatan in the dark during the negotiations, as is with many other policy matters.

Khalid, who has since been expelled from PKR and has also lost majority support in the state assembly, is temporarily occupying the menteri besar seat pending a replacement from Pakatan.

He inked the Master Agreement of the water restructuring deal with Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Maximus Johnity Ongkili in Putrajaya this morning.

Khalid’s press secretary Arfa’eza Abdul Aziz confirmed the signing of the deal in a Twitter posting.

“With Khalid at Kettha (the Energy, Green Technology and Water Ministry), Putrajaya, for signing of Master Agreement to finalise water restructuring in Selangor,” Arfa’eza said.

chinchiaho, oops...I assumed the 1B target incl rental which I don't think so. Latest 1H results showed 43.3M gross profit from rental. That's around 31% of the 140.2M net profit for 1H.

So, adding 31% to 290M will be 380M. FY14 fully diluted EPS = 380M / 487.16M shares = 78 sen. FY14 PE is 5x (@ 3.93). If PE 8x implied, then price will be 6.24!

KSL's outstanding share base of 390.56M. We shouldn't forget the potential dilution of another 96.6M shares from KSL-WA conversion. Assuming KSL can achieve RM1B revenue (as mentioned by CEO in Star on 16 Aug) for FY14, net profit will be around RM290M (assumed 29% net margin).

FY14 EPS = 290M / 487.16M shares = 59.53 sen

So, FY14 PE is 6.6x (at 3.93). If PE 8x is implied, then we r looking at RM4.76. No doubt, KSL's assets r all very undervalued it still won't harm to be on the conservative side.

I'm sure if KSL were to inject their rental assets into a REIT, they will still keep substantial stakes in the REIT to continue enjoying rental income at the same time pocketing a one-time cash from sale of rental assets.

I liked the part on potential DRP and getting noticed by institutional funds, I guess come Mon it won't be difficult to con't its uptrend. :-)
