Remember Ifcamsc? If I recalled correctly, the promoters went down to Singapore to promote the stock, and coupled with GST implementation that time, it skyrocketed and became one of the legend. I'm just trying to point out that certain real actions can be a key point and lead to butterfly effect, you'll never know. Can you explain why it is fairer when historically in most counters RI actually locks down the price in a certain range for an even longer period than PP?

Also it asks for your reinvestment into the company (albeit at some discount), when I could have invested the additional money into other counter. Please do not tell me that investing in another counter will guarantee a win, but purely talking talking about opportunity costs here. RI will also bring the share down closer to the issue price in most cases and also due to share dilution.

If I'm really interested to buy into this counter with such a big proclamation, will try to do the following first:

1. Check the Mines Villa Sungai Besi sales statistics. Call up their sales office and ask for more information, visit the site for actual population etc etc. Reason being this is the more recent development where Chia is the major shareholder.

2. Have a coffee in the mamak along the same row of Vivocom's office near Batu Caves there. Then start observing the office building's exterior, cars parked in the front, maybe try to go inside pretending to be door to door sales man to gauge the interior reception. Just for fun..

3. Spend more time online trying to find status updates on the Coneff court case.

4. Find more information online pertaining to Regal's group historical background.

5. Find more information online pertaining to the Kuching Development project as it's the largest single project in their prospectus.

Can think of few more points but lazy to dig further. If author can provide the clarification to above, all the better to help VinVest achieve its ambition!

Non judgmental bias: potential watch list for Rights Issue play. If no RI, then potential for sharp rise, sharp down then catch for rebound play!

Simple non judgmental experiment: tried searching the keyword "Uyghur genocide" in 4 different search engines google/duckduckgo/bing/yahoo and find a pattern there. I stopped after 15 minutes of cross referencing and came out with own conclusions. Have a nice day!

Noticed the unusual volume past few days but price dropped heavily on the 23rd. Accompanying this price movement is the management movement as well. Then today announced interest to subscribe in MMAG subsidiary (MGudang) shares for its logistics business recurring income.

All is speculation and shark's play, but nevertheless could be an interesting counter to watch and monitor.

@BLee, this address is suspiciously the same for MTRONIC as well. You can search around, there are a few others having the same address update around the same time..

Also, the $2.13 billion JV in East Msia has no updates at all since its first announcement in Jan 2019. Then the past 2 years they further announced few more JV after name changed to AGES. If you like to dabble in penny stocks, you may notice that these kind of announcements one after another is a common practice.

Not hinting at anything, but just pointing out some doubts and potential red flags from own perspective. If upcoming QR is good and fly like ARBB then everyone happy, else doubts will always remain even for those who invested.

Had same thought too, but after reading further, it turns out that the conversion to mother can be done using the ICPS shares too without shelling out a single $. If you look at the list of conversion, there is one transaction with the price of $18,200. I think that is the only conversion using real cash, all the others are converted to mother using the ICPS shares. Means only $18,200 invested into the company via the ICPS conversion so far... correct me if I'm wrong ya

Based on this knowledge, another speculation is that the market makers will control the price around company's corporate exercise activity for eg. BIOHLDG rights issue indicative price of 0.23. That has been almost the case for most RI counters hence it should be no different for BIOHLDG.

Expect price to hover around 0.2x for some time until the RI exercise completes... also any price spike especially coming quarter result can only be temporary I think, the market maker cannot set the price range too far from the RI price and let too many to escape...

PaulLim: the price is dictated by market maker (please please google the term and spend some time reading from multiple sites). They are another party in the exchange that:

1. provides liquidity in the market, for example one stock with daily low volume but yet the buy/sell queue is always there because their job is to provide both a buy and sell bid at all times. Without them, you can hardly find any buyer or seller in a very slow moving counter. Without them, it also causes delay in your buy and sell transaction which will caused the market to be much less liquid

2. can take BIOHLDG for example - without them tomorrow, you may find all sorts of gap up or gap down opening price. With them around, they can dictate the opening buy and sell bids. Hence the irregular price you observed on 22 Jan. They can manipulate the price a few bids up or down based on corporate news etc

3. another example is during the covid-19 crash last year. They have to fulfill their obligation to provide liquidity even when the whole KLSE is in fear, hence you still see huge buy/sell queue as though there are a lot buyers and sellers when in fact many are avoiding the market

Many more examples can be found on the net. At least that's how I understand why the buy/sell queue can come and go 'magically'.

When this counter drops to historically low again one day, no problem to recommend this stock!

Means they just sit in office and research & research etc but never actually go outside to survey/interview or have real world experience in the industry. This point sticks to me since then and now just take these IB reports as a complement to own knowledge.
