weng, 1. The planes were bought at highest discount possible on earth. 2. Most planes are bought when they are new, 12 years straight line (correct me if i am wrong), 3. A lot of the planes were fully depreciated.

I may not be accurate about this, but Airasia has long term plan on plane ownership, as time goes by, depreciation will become lesser and lesser, intrinsic value becomes higher and higher.

Wiki123, if airasia declares 10 cents dividend tomorrow. Say ex-date is 10 may, then besides c38, because it's expiring before the ex-date, all other call warrants will suffer a 10 cents reduction of value relative to mother share price because the exercise price will not be adjusted for normal dividend. Don't know exactly how to describe that.

I do think it's possible to reach rm3.5 by end April, but it doesn't matter if it doesn't. Future of Airasia looks brighter and brighter, I am convinced it will reach rm8-12 (on a pre-split basis, keke) in three years.

The listing in Hk is coming pretty soon, still lots of excitement going forward.

Stocks like Berkshire, apple, McDonald, etc, if you own it in the early days you could stop working for the rest of your life. Airasia is one like that, I am still accumulating!

FY17 airasia is going to make at least 4b including gain from disposal and IPO, + debts recovered from IAA and PAA, this is simple math. Do your own calculation, do not rely on IB analysts so much, they are wrong most of the time.

Feed prices has been increasing in the last few months. But it doesn't matter.

In Abdullah's time, farmers were given subsidy to prevent price hike. Najib cancelled it (along with every other subsidies and charge everyone 6% instead, how sad). Now farmers are charged with 6% extra for feed. Most smaller farmers are dead. Plus Thailand has problems (no water, no raw material) these few years (and getting severe), so less/no smuggling.

Anyway, we are seeing consolidation in the chicken market is done, and it is a producer's market now.

Market still do not understand the full effect of AAC deal, it will reduce the USD debts under AAC currently by 80%, AAC will be recorded as subsidiary, accounts will be separated!

Batu88, it's not for everyone, you take over the debts also.

Even if 80% AAC is given for free, liabilities, USD debts of Airasia will be much lower.

Of course it is not free.

Once the deal is done, Airasia will be a net cash company.
